Friends, I know I am overdue posting last month’s sentences and I will get to that perhaps later this evening from a seedy flophouse somewhere east of the Divide. I’m still suffering a severe case of Big Event Hangover, which means equal parts elation and melancholy. I’ve only just an hour ago returned Robin Wall Kimmerer to the airport after a weekend of IndigiPalooza MT and Plant, Baby, Plant mayhem that has left my spirit reeling in only the best possible way. Every bit of it was a triumphant success and I am feeling in particular so much gratitude for how this community came out in support of our efforts. I will talk more about it in the future, perhaps, once I get caught up both with my emotions and my rest.

As I am about to hit the road to Yellowstone shortly, I do want to mention right away that if you are in the Gardiner area, or feel like visiting the Park sounds like a good time, I will be at the Voices of Yellowstone event the rest of this week. Here are some highlights you might consider:

• Tuesday, August 4: I am taking a cultural tour being led by my good friend Mike Jetty from 9am - 4pm. Come join us! Mike is a treasure.

• Wednesday, August 5 and Friday, August 6: I am leading tours myself both of those days, 9am - 4pm.

• Friday, August 6: I’m giving a talk at the teepee lighting ceremony. I’m not sure what time that will happen but come hang out anyway. I think there’s a pot luck before it?
