I'm Back!

I'm Back!

Yeah so like, I haven't updated this in awhile. I've been away dealing with some health struggles with some of our pets. On the whole, everyone is doing ok now, but such is life with aging pets unfortunately.

I've been kept pretty busy on the work front. I've been learning a lot about Terraform and how I can use it to speed up customer integrations and changes. I'm working on some other quality of life scripts that I have found to be incredibly useful as well, for things like testing websites and maintaining test scripts. I've got a few more reporting items I want to work on to streamline lookups too, a lot in the pipeline. It's shaping up to be an exciting year I think.

Around the house, I've got myself setup in a new room, so I'm no longer working out of our dining room! Fresh floors put down, new baseboard, and even moved our server rack and installed some new ethernet ports. It's a much cozier setup and should help keep work life separate from everything else, which can be a struggle with remote work for sure. Way too easy to fall into the trap of "Oh I'll just check on things *3 hours later*."

Anyway, I don't have much in the way of specific content planned for this site, but I guess that's kind of the point. This place isn't about content but just what I'm thinking when I have the time available to myself. I'd like to get things posted more regularly but we'll see how that goes.
