Summer is here and there are too many things on my list that I need and want to do… I’ve just started a “Nature Journal” thanks to Emmie Rae (with whom I’m currently deeply immersing myself into the practice and poetry of Yin) and I’m sharing here how a nature journal it is not only a perfect way to connect to your body and sensual self but also how it is a poetic practice.
Speaking of “poetic practice”: It feels like I haven’t shared a poem in a while here… So here is one from a little earlier this year – also because lately so much is centering around editing rather than creating poetry. As much as I’m looking forward to my German poems getting a tangible form as much I’m noticing that editing-mode is so different to writing-mode…
Also because of this the “Nature Journal” is a great place to at least write a little something during my days that is connected to poetic sensibility : )
Anyway: I hope you enjoy this poem!

Sun melting me Like butter, like candles I’m back and Feeling like Calm water All that was crumpled Like trousers or blouses That got stuck in a suitcase for too long Smoothed out By play Something’s shining From deep within Like it got polished Subtly Casually, while I was Following the current Of simply Being
