In the last several weeks, a house fire destroyed the home of a single mother and her four children, all enrolled in Children Incorporated’s program.

Thankfully, every family member escaped safely, but they left with only the clothes they were wearing. They were able to find temporary housing with a friend, but the home is small and now full.

With no beds to sleep in, no bedding, and no way to keep the upstairs sleeping area cool during the summer heat, the family’s future felt uncertain.

But because of generous supporters who give to our Hope in Action Fund, help arrived immediately. Funds were provided for beds, mattresses, bedding, and an air conditioning unit so the children could have a safe and comfortable place to rest while rebuilding their lives.

Hope is more than optimism.

It is a sponsor’s compassion put into action. It is a donor’s generosity meeting a family in their darkest moment.

It is the reminder that a crisis does not have to be the end of the story.

As this mother prepares to begin a new job and work toward a fresh start for her children, your support helps ensure they do not face that journey alone.

At Children Incorporated, we believe in Education, Hope, and Opportunity. Because when hope becomes action, lives can change forever.
