This month of May was quite hectic, alternating between short work weeks and holidays filled with activities, commitments, and celebrations, all requiring anticipation to avoid family drama and commitment to enjoy every moment! Given this schedule, I had set myself the goal of being as intentional as possible in each moment…
In the end, I finished the month with my head full of memories (and just as many photos to sort through!) and a strong need for peace and quiet… While I mainly took out my camera to capture these memories—and share them with the various people with whom I experienced these precious moments—I had little opportunity or energy left to take photos for myself…
And finally, it was during a bike ride that I spotted a field with an almost furry appearance, with ears (and poppies, my favorite flower!) that were standing out… So I picked up my camera and made a little room in my schedule to stop. I put my bike on the side, got down to the field’s level of the field, and started testing all the shots I had imagined… I walked, I crouched… and finally found the right angle, so snap, there it is!
This photo reflects what I love, what my eye most naturally picks up… When I have limited time, I realize how much I still rely on my instincts… and I return to what I love! I could start philosophizing about the meaning of those outstanding (!) ears, but I’ll surely come back to that another time…
In the meantime, I wish to all of us those moments when the intention is to explore our passion! These moments are precious, and are clearly what make us feel alive.
And it’s with this spirit that I approach the coming month of June: to create opportunities to dive deeper into my passion! Where will it lead me? To be continued :)
Have a nice June!
