Jody Gates · Chaos Cooperative

Some people are born with a sense of purpose.

Those unique individuals get a grand idea of what they want to do, or who they want to be when they grow up.

Then, there are the rest of us.

TL;DR -

  • It’s easier to finish when there is accountability, it’s funner to learn when there’s a crowd of enthusiastic peers.

  • ADHD brains need to define their own version of what ‘success’ looks like.

  • I’ve created a tool for Chaos Cooperative to use AI and work with you to create a Life Vision that empowers goal setting, project management and daily motivation struggles.

  • I’m running a workshop this week to help you define what success means for YOU and let you use your brain the way it was intended.

If you’ve ever encountered unexpected success simply because you told someone you were going to do it, or because someone was there with you while you did it, then you know the power of a cooperative.

You’ve seen the benefit of implicit accountability.

Sometimes, all it takes is your own belief that someone is counting on you to act or to succeed. Chances are, most people want you to succeed, so just knowing they exist is a win.

The whole purpose of Chaos Cooperative is to bring together people who want to succeed, and let them support one another.

The journey of a thousand miles. First step. You know the drill.

We live in a time of amazing technology. An ADHD brain knows all too well how bad the “always on” availability of the Internet can be. But we still go back to that well. There is so much information, there are so many resources at our fingertips.

Artificial Intelligence is having its day in the sun right now. (It’s also casting a shadow on our livelihoods, our art and our future.)

My take on AI is that it can be leveraged for everyone, it can be extra strong for a neurodivergent person with a chatterbox for a brain.

“Chaos Values” is the first of a suite of AI agents intended to help us stay focused while we’re doing some planning for our life.

I’ve been working on this tool for a while and include it as part of the Chaos Cooperative member benefits.

I’m introducing it in a workshop this week, on Thursday, February 13th at 1PM MST.

The workshop will go over what it is, what it’s about, and why it’s so special for neurodivergent brains.

The workshop is 90 minutes long, but will be made up of 3 main 30 minute parts:

  • Learning about the why of this tool, who it’s for and what it’s goal is.

  • Going through a simple example of the process and explaining what’s going on.

  • Exploring the tool together, you may even walk away with a completed vision plan if it clicks right away.

My workshop style is very casual, very fluid and very hands on. I’ve got the ADHD, I imagine you do too, and just listening to someone talk for an hour or… ugh, 90 minutes, sounds horrible.

Show up ready to get your feet wet, or hands dirty, but bring your curious mind and a desire to see if you might be able to re-define success in a manner that works with YOUR brain.

You can sign up for the workshop here.

I hope to see some, or all (what? omg not really all) of you there!

Reach out to me if you’re interested and can’t make the time, we can see what we can do.
