Chamber of Mothers · Chamber of Mothers

Every August since the early 1970s, both houses of Congress have taken the month off from official meetings in D.C. to spend time with their constituents.

Welcome to Chamber of Mothers, the largest nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to winning paid leave, affordable, accessible childcare, and historic investments in maternal health. We are uniting mothers as advocates to create a better America. Join our grassroots network of 100,000 members and 50+ local chapters.

  • You can find a deep dive on our work and who we are here.

  • Free subscribers receive our weekly newsletter—recently, that’s included a July 4 note from our CEO, Erin Erenberg; a recap of news you need to know ahead of August Recess; and must-have Chamber of Mothers merch. Up next: introducing our first-of-its-kind campaign to help you meet with your legislators this summer.

  • Paid subscribers directly fuel our work and get more—including a piece of free merch and exclusive behind-the-scenes access. Lately, that’s been our summer movie series, and a can’t-miss video from a top OB/GYN at our annual Power Breakfast. Up next for paid subscribers: a powerful conversation with Navajo nurse-midwife Nicolle L. Arthun, MSN, CNM, FACNM, on reclaiming the ritual, attention, and community support that mothers native to this land once had. Go paid to support the work of supporting moms and get insider perks.

  • Stories from local chapters across the country about how members are making change, passing laws, and changing their communities to better support mothers and families.

  • Key updates on our nonpartisan work in Washington, D.C., as well as state and local wins.

  • Merch giveaways.

  • A live community activation.

  • Strategy and hope at a time when we all need both more than ever.

When: Tuesday, July 28 from 12 to 1 p.m. EST

Where: Zoom

Who: You’ll hear from Chamber of Mothers leadership on political updates and advocacy wins, and from renowned photojournalist and women’s storyteller Tara Todras-Whitehill, who will help you turn lived experiences into bold, brave stories that compel people to listen, understand, and act.
