We are living through one of the greatest paradigm shifts in the history of evolution. In the last 50 years, the personal computer and the mass collective of human consciousness became ubiquitous and addictively instant. We are now at ground zero of the next phase: perfect mergence of bits and atoms.
As technology becomes indistinguishable from reality we will be elevated beyond human limitation. In my essays I will explore the opportunities and possibilities ahead in consumer technology based on where we are today and where we are going.
The future is bright. I believe that in my lifetime we will:
Cure the harshest of disabilities like deafness, blindness, and vegetative states.
Become perfectly connected to ourselves, the people we love, and the earth we call home.
Unlock human limitation in the form of telepathy and teleportation - albeit they may not be as sci-fi as you imagine.
