Alan McFetridge · Centre for Ecological Philosophy

We are gathering people of all disciplines - photographers, artists, writers, ecologists, cultural practitioners, thinkers, farmers and so on to reimagine how we live with land and water—through creative practice, shared knowledge, and collective care.

Launching March 5, Nature (Mother) invites submissions that explore specific bodies of water, mountains, and the ecologies that sustain us. Together, these works will build a living Atlas of Critical Infrastructures—mapping the places, stories, and systems that hold the future of life on Earth.

This is more than an open call.

‘Dead Reckoning’ series - Alan McFetridge, 2018.

It’s an attempt to ask:
— How do we restore regenerative relationships with the natural world?
— What does it mean to honour nature as a nurturing force?
— How can creative work support ecological resilience and shared economies?

Through Metalabel, contributors will retain authorship and share in the value of their work—building an alternative model of creative publishing rooted in connection, stewardship, and responsibility.

🔹 Supported by Jennie Ricketts ( Former picture editor, the Observer mag 1996-2004. Independent Photography Consultant. Trustee AutographABP & Martin Parr Foundation)
🔹 Integrated into the Holland Park Artist Residency
🔹 Public launch: March 5
