Dear Central Families and Friends,

Welcome to 2026! We hope everyone had a joyous and restful Winter Break. To celebrate the start of the new year, the PTO has two fun events planned for Friday night. After a week of readjusting to our normal schedules and routines, we hope you’ll join us for our Winter Socials at Flying High (for the kiddos) and BuckleDown Brewing (for the adults).

Here’s what’s coming up:

Winter Social at Flying High (Fri. Jan 9th, 7-10pm): Drop off your kids, age 5+, for pizza and supervised gym time while you enjoy either a quiet evening or a night out. Register by Wednesday for discounted admission.
Parent’s Night Out at BuckleDown Brewing (Fri. Jan 9th, 7-10pm): Stop by for a drink while your kids are at Flying High!
PTO General Meeting (Mon. Jan 26th, 6:30pm): Join us in the Central Library - all are welcome.
Dine Out at La Barra (Thurs. Jan 29th): La Barra will donate 20% of all dine-in and pick-up orders to the PTO when you mention Central!
And save the date for Family Cultural Heritage Festival on Thurs. March 12th.

Join us this Friday, January 9th from 7-10pm at Flying High in Countryside for the PTO Winter Social. Drop off your kids (age 5+) for a supervised night of pizza and fun. Help us pack the place and Flying High will donate 50% of registrations back to the PTO!

Registration Information:

Register by Wednesday, January 7th for $18/child. Registrations after Wednesday and walk-ins are $22/child.

Flying High Sports and Recreation is located at 5400 East Ave, Countryside, IL 60525

Join us this Friday, January 9th from 7-10pm for Central’s Parent’s Night Out at BuckleDown Brewing in Lyons. Conveniently overlapping with the kids drop off event at Flying High, we hope you’ll join us for a drink and casual opportunity to socialize with other Central parents.

Come hungry with options to enjoy pretzels, pizza, and new charcuterie boards. 20% of all food and beverage sales will be donated back to Central.

BuckleDown Brewing is located at 8700 47th St. Lyons, IL 60534 - less than 10 minutes away from Flying High!

January’s Dine Out for Central restaurant is at La Barra, Riverside. On Thursday, January 29th, anytime between 9:00am and midnight, La Barra will donate 20% of sales back to Central.

Dine-in and pick-up orders only, and make sure to mention Central PTO! Online and delivery orders won’t count, so check out their menu and give them a call: (708) 887-7700

Central’s biannual Family Cultural Heritage Festival is coming up on Thursday, March 12th. Join us for a night to explore, appreciate, celebrate, and educate each other about unique countries, cultures, and traditions that weave our community together.

There will be more information coming soon, including how to volunteer to share your family’s cultural heritage. Stay tuned!

The PTO is collecting photos for the school yearbook, and we need your help! If you’ve captured any great moments this year, we’d love to include them.
