Dear Central Families and Friends,
It’s been a busy and exciting couple of weeks at Central! Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Cultural Heritage Festival and supported the Book Fair last week. This year’s Book Fair was an even bigger success than last year, with three times as many books available under $10 and each child was given $10 in Scholastic Bucks, ensuring no one left empty handed.
A few reminders:
March’s Dine Out is coming up next Thursday, March 26th at White Fence Farm. Hang on to the flyer coming home in backpacks next week.
It’s the final chance to purchase Central Spirit Wear this school year! New and classic styles are on sale until Friday.
If you’re considering purchasing a Commemorative Brick, take advantage of early bird pricing through April 10th to receive $25 off. 2026 Brick orders must be received by April 30th.

Monday, April 13th: D96 is welcoming author and licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Doug Bolton, for a Parent Information Night on the topic of: “Myths That Undermine Children’s Wellness.” Details below.
Friday, April 24th: Central’s Spring Social at Fleetwood Roller Rink. The PTO will cover the cost of admission and skate rentals for all Central families!
Last week’s Cultural Heritage Festival was a vibrant, joyful celebration that brought families together to share traditions, stories, and experiences while highlighting the rich cultural diversity of our school community.
From the beautifully curated country tables and delicious food samples to the incredible performances and roving bagpiper, the Hauser Gym was transformed into a true world tour. Students had the opportunity to feel seen, included, and inspired to learn more about one another.
On behalf of Central’s PTO, thank you so much to all the volunteers, performers, host families, and especially the committee co-chairs (Kendra Curry-Khanna & Renee Coover) who made the event an incredible success!
Did you know the Central PTO has raised over $2,000 from Dine Out events this school year? Your support of local restaurants helps fund the PTO programs our school community loves!
Next Thursday, we hope you’ll join us at White Fence Farm from 4 - 8PM. 20% of all dine-in and carryout orders will be donated back to Central. Be sure to keep the flyer sent home next week and show it when ordering and picking up your food!
Parent Information Night: “Myths That Undermine Children’s Wellness”
Monday, April 13 at 6:30 PM
Hauser Junior High Auditorium
Join licensed clinical psychologist and author, Dr. Doug Bolton, for a discussion on supporting children’s emotional well-being in today’s high-pressure world. He’ll share insights on common parenting myths and offer practical strategies to help kids build connection, resilience, and balance.
Five attendees will win a copy of his book, Untethered: Creating Connected Families, Schools, and Communities to Raise a Resilient Generation. The session will also be recorded and available for later viewing.
Make your mark in Central history with a commemorative paving brick - an engraved, lasting way to celebrate a graduating 5th grader or honor someone special in the community. Each brick includes up to three lines of text (13 characters per line) and is $75 through April 10th ($100 through April 30th), with installation over the summer and proceeds supporting the PTO.
This is the final chance to order Central Spirit Wear in the 25-26 school year. Place your orders by Friday and they will be delivered to your child’s classroom in early April.
