On Sunday, Fiona McNeill was sharing with us on the topic of confession – an incredibly important element of prayer. Confession is a gift from God because it allows us to lay down our sins. Fiona used the words of Psalm 139 to help shape our thinking about confession – Confession of Sin , Confession of Worry & Confession of Mind . Psalm 139
On Sunday, Dave Dickinson continued our summer series on prayer as we looked at the place of adoration with our prayer, working from Jesus' words "Our Father In Heaven, hallowed be your name." This was a reminder about who it is we are actually praying to – a deeply loving Father, and was call to demote the things in our hearts that we have put ahead of God. Matthew 6:5-9

Through these verses, Jamie reminded us God is with us and that because of Jesus' victory of sin and death, we are co-heirs in His victory as supervictors, and we can be set free by Christ, and for Christ. On Sunday, we moved through the penultimate part of our series in Romans 8 as we unpacked what the Apostle Paul has to say about one of life's universal experience – suffering . This is a call to live as people who live with a future hope in our present sufferings. Romans 8:18-28
