Warmth….
wrap your shoulders in me
i’ve come to comfort you
like your cat Mittens who sits in your lap
snuggle your nose into my soft white luxury
close your eyes
sink down into the Warmth
the softness
my delicious comfort
occasionally sipping the hot tea
as it slides down into your belly
bringing serenity, joy… peace
what sweetness is beginning its bloom into your life
as you unfetter from your ‘self’
what freedom has begun the anointing of your stiff aching joints
flowing steady now through your blood
pushing out those ‘suffocating’ fault finding voices
that ice cold soul crippling past
what inner truth has begun its unique expression in your voice
settling deeply in your chest
what heavy stress is being laid to rest
we carry, we lug, we struggle, we run
for years white-knuckling the journey
until one day, locked down hard in constricted ropes of fear
the heart whispers in a rasping desperate cry
“surrender please! let it all go! please set me free!”
“for only I and I alone can help you get home…”
and suddenly, without warning, the planets spin… the lightening strikes… the thunder roars, the winds howl… and unforeseen events begin to force our souls to find the way and we get there…
and then… I come
to wrap your weary shoulders in a loving Warmth
inviting you to snuggle your nose into my soft luxurious white fibers
you gaze off into the distance and gently weep from the years of yearning…
you poignatly giggle and laugh at the striving innocent ignorance and the lessons of your aching humanity
you breath a heavy sigh of release and relief and smile as your heart swells in acceptance
sipping your hot tea, your heart sinking deeper and deeper into a vast endless expanse of freedom
as your cat Mittens sleeps ever peacefully on your lap
you’ve come home
