The second of three free companion novellas is coming! Check your inbox (remember, it might end up in your promotions tab or spam folder) on April 7, 2026, for your invitation to download a FREE digital copy of Shattered: Lost Sessions.
Throughout Shattered, Tessa speaks with her therapist, Dr. Weaver, to help her navigate the grief after her family’s fatal accident, transition to public high school, and adjust to life in the UC. She undergoes a new revolutionary treatment called Remote Thought Intervention. In RTI, Dr. Weaver can speak with Tessa’s subconscious to guide her and help her process everything happening in her life. The only thing is, Tessa can’t remember what they discussed. Her RTI sessions are blank time, lost to her subconscious.
Now you can read Shattered: Lost Sessions and see for yourself what they discuss ... and it might not be what you think!
Then get ready for Merged, the second book in the Forged series, coming soon!
If you haven't finished Shattered yet, please note that this novella contains major spoilers to the Shattered storyline. For the best reading experience, I recommend reading Shattered first. Visit your favorite bookstore, online book retailer, or public library to request a copy or visit here to find a retailer.
“Once I close my eyes, it’s like I blink, and she’s telling me we’re done. Time passes, but I don’t remember anything.”
“Really?” The shock was evident in Isaiah’s voice.
“She claims to be talking directly to my subconscious mind. But I don’t remember any of it after the treatement is over.”
Isiaah pondered that for a moment.”If she’s only talking to your subconscious, then maybe your’re not ready to tackle the trauma head-on yet. You know, like how the body heals itself while sleeping?”
“Maybe,” I conceded.
