The Red Hill Valley Parkway is set to close for three days in September for rehabilitation and maintenance work.
The closure is set to start on Sept. 17 at 10 p.m. and end on Sept. 21 at 5 a.m.
The city said the RHVP will be closed both ways between Mud Street and Barton Street.
The rehabilitation work will improve the safety and conditions of the parkway while avoiding repeated closures, keeping disruptions to motorists to a minimum, the city said in a press release.
Rehabilitation work will take place between the King Street and Greenhill Avenue interchanges and "general infrastructure maintenance," will take place along the parkway, according to the city.
"The planned rehabilitation work includes removing portions of the existing road surface, adjusting the roadway slope with new asphalt layers and paving a new asphalt surface. The project also includes guiderail upgrades and adjustments to the overhead sign support structure," the city said.
HSR buses will detour during the construction, the city said.
