Innocent lives are at stake. False prophets are causing wars and unnecessary bloodshed. The “faith of Jesus” (Rev 14:12) is under attack and souls are at stake. Blunt talk is necessary to match the crisis.
Prelude and Scriptural Background
The following is a Partial-Preterist interpretation of the Book of Revelation. “Preterist” simply means “past.” A Partial-Preterist interpretation holds that the Book of Revelation prophesied events especially about the years preceding 70 A.D., now the past. The Book of Revelation promised that Christ was amongst the Christians, aware of their persecutions, and warned Christians of intensified persecutions by Rome and Jerusalem before 70 A.D. The Book was mostly a prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. similar to that given by Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 24.
Along with Saint Augustine, Partial-Preterists hold that we have been living the “thousand year reign of Christ” since Christ’s Ascension [see link in this sentence for St. Augustine’s teaching]. Even though mostly about events before 70 A.D., certainly what already took place in the Book of Revelation 1-19 will be similar to persecutions in all ages of the Church. “Partial” is used as an adjective to highlight for Partial-Preterists that the only unfulfilled part of the Book of Revelation is the final releasing of Satan from “prison” to deceive the nations at the end of the symbolic 1K years and then Christ’s return in glory (cf. Rev 20:7). [It might interest Christians to know that during Second Temple Judaism (which ended in 70 A.D.), some rabbis believed that the age of the Messiah would be 2k years before some kind of consummation.]
When the Book of Revelation juxtaposes a “beast” with “two horns like a lamb” in Chapter 13 of the Book of Revelation against “the Lamb” of God on God’s holy mountain in Chapter 14, we are being shown the difference between true religion that bears God’s name (14:1) and false religion that bears the name of the beast (13:16). Chapter 13 juxtaposes three evil figures: the dragon (Satan), the beast (oppressive idolatrous world-wide empire, then Rome), and the beast with “two horns like a lamb” (apostate religion) against three holy realities: God the Father, the mystical body of Christ (the visible Church and its members), and the Lamb (Jesus Christ and true worship) of Chapter 14. The spirit of anti-Christ unites the two beasts with the dragon; the Holy Spirit unites the Lamb and mystical body of Christ with God the Father. “Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” (Rev 14:12).
In being shown that we must worship the Lamb (Rev 5:8) and not the beast (Rev 14:11), we are being shown that the true and “new Jerusalem” (Rev 21:2,10) is the mystery of the Temple & the Lamb (Rev 21:22), “the faith of Jesus” (Rev 14:12). The union between the “beast with two horns like a lamb” (especially the Second Temple Sanhedrin of Jesus’ time) and the “first beast” (First Century Rome) are shown in John 19:15 when the Sanhedrin called for Christ to be crucified “and the chief priests answered Pilate, ‘We have no king but Caesar.’” They became those trying to stop “the faith of Jesus” and so were allied with the dragon. For this, and after giving 40 years to repent but their still refusing, God made their temple obsolete in the destruction of the “great city…where Jesus was crucified” (Revelation 11:8; cf.18:10). [cf. Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr.’s doctoral dissertation turned book, Before Jerusalem Fell, 3rd edition, to see the connection between Revelation 11:8 and 18:10.]
Saint John also gave the key to worshipping the Lamb in Chapter 6 of his Gospel when Jesus explained the meaning of what he would accomplish through the institution of the worship of his body and blood at the Last Supper (John 6:48-71). Saint Paul elaborated in 1 Corinthians 5:7-8 and in Hebrews 10:19-25 & 12:22-24: “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem…to Jesus, the mediator of the new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood.” This Hebrews 12 passage unlocks that Revelation 21 and the “new Jerusalem” have a sacramental meaning and not only one for Jesus’ return in glory.
The New Covenant Temple worship supersedes the now obsolete Old Covenant Second Temple worship. The Church supersedes Second Temple Judaism as the Israel of God and so the Church is the “new Israel” (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, Lumen Gentium #9.3). Those who do not understand this truth of Catholic and Orthodox liturgy usually misrepresent the Church’s understanding of “supersession” and so elevate ethnos (ethnicity) over the Spirit, clinging to the flesh instead of the Spirit.
The “ignorant and unstable” (2 Pet 3:16) deny the visibility of the Church as the new visible promised land. They join with Christian Zionists and Jewish Zionists and misrepresent “supersession” as “supersessionism” because ultimately, they refuse (or maybe just forget) that Mount Zion already manifests itself in the Sacrifice of the Mass when Christians assemble. [As the telos of God’s promises (cf. Rom 10:4), the mystical body of Jesus the Messiah became the prime analogate by which to understand “Israel” and its one true subsistence.] Zionists are offended when reminded of the dogmatic teachings of Saint Paul and Christ that the Church is “the Israel of God” (Gal 6:16). They downplay the meaning of John 6 or deny Christ’s real, true, and substantial presence at the Eucharistic liturgies.
The Eucharistic liturgies are a foretaste of the Second Coming and glory to come in which a new heaven and a new earth are brought about and after which “death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more…” (Rev 21:4):
The Church knows that the Lord comes even now in his Eucharist and that he is there in our midst. However, his presence is veiled. Therefore, we celebrate the Eucharist “awaiting the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ,” asking “to share in your glory when every tear will be wiped away. On that day we shall see you, our God, as you are. We shall become like you and praise you for ever through Christ our Lord.” [Catechism of the Catholic Church #1404; see also: #1402-1405]

Introduction
Pay attention to the warning from all the retired heads of Israel’s intelligence agencies as reported by Haaretz news agency in August 2025: “In a rare joint appeal, former Mossad, Shin Bet and IDF heads call for an immediate end to the Gaza war, warning it now serves ‘messianic and extremist goals’ and is leading to ‘the loss of Israel’s security and its freedom’.” In this warning, these whistleblowers are the good guys for exposing Netanyahu and his lies. Many good Jews want nothing to do with racist extremists and religious fanatics who don’t care about innocent non-Jewish blood.
The whistleblowers are warning about the false prophets and in my opinion the reappearance of a new beast with two horns like a lamb. It’s my opinion the beasts that were defeated 2k years ago have taken on new forms because the dragon is on the loose again. The new forms involve Christian Zionists and now even “Catholic” Zionists (basically fundamentalist Protestants in their ecclesiology) who are backing Jewish religious Zionists. [To my brother Protestants, I know many of you love Jesus better than Catholics, and are not associated with these ignorant people. To my elder brother Jews, I know many of you have nothing to do with such Zionists and I condemn any antisemitism that would say otherwise.]
Saint Paul could not have been clearer about God’s true Israel: “It is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are reckoned as descendants” (Rom 9:8). “The children of the promise” are the Jews and Gentiles who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Messiah (cf. Gal 6:15). The destruction of the Second Temple by 70 A.D., which Christ prophesied (“this generation” cf. Matthew 24:34), is likely why Paul claimed soon before it happened: “In speaking of a new covenant he treats the first as obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away” (Heb 8:13). Christianity was superseding Second Temple Judaism.
Saint Paul was no antisemite. He was a “Hebrew born of Hebrews” (Phil 3:5). He was trying to save Judaism by bringing it to realization in the Messiah’s kingdom (cf. Rom 10:4). He was trying to save all Judah in the Church, the Israel of God (cf. Gal 6:16). With its new Temple, new High Priest, new Lamb of sacrifice, and new Jerusalem (Rev 21:2,14,22; Heb 12:22) the Jewish followers of Jesus became the true “reform” (Heb 9:10) of Judaism and the Temple. The Jews who went with God’s true Temple, Jesus Christ, eventually called themselves Christians.
With the advent of the Messiah, Paul was clear that Christians were the true Jews now, the people of God: “we are the true circumcision” (Phil 3:3 RSV). In rejecting the Messiah, Second Temple Judaism transformed into a beast and false prophet (cf. Jn 19:15; Rev 13:11) and persecutor of “the children of the promise” (cf. Gal 4:29; Rev 17:6). God brought Second Temple Judaism to an end in 70 A.D. (cf. Rev 11:8; 18:8-10). It has no legitimate successor other than Christianity (cf. Rev 21). Rabbinic Judaism began after Second Temple Judaism, but it was not the same as Second Temple Judaism. Catholics are forbidden hatred of its followers. They seek God and his promises and we pray they become one with us. Only those adhering to Jesus the Messiah can be the true Israel of God forevermore (baptism of desire, actual baptism, baptism of blood).
Rabbinic Jews seeking God’s promises are still loved by God, but attempts to recreate a different Israel or Second Temple Judaism run contrary to God’s plan in Christ. Attempts to return to Second Temple ceremonial sacrifices cause only apostasy from the Messiah and deception. In no way does this article accuse rabbinic Judaism (historically distinct from modern tenets of theological Zionism) as a continuation of the false prophet (cf. Rev 13:11). It accuses only Jews and Christians who adhere to theological Zionism of false prophecy (theological Zionism would involve false claims of divine rights to lands and persecution of the current lawful tenants (cf. Mt 21:38-41) of former Old Testament Israelite lands).
This article particularly rebukes Catholics of leading an apostasy when they promote Catholic Zionism, a false teaching that God’s promise of “the land” was not reformed into “better promises” (Heb 8:6) in Christ (& for all of Abraham’s descendants). Christ’s reform makes the physical land obsolete (Heb 8:13) when it is discussed as solely promised to Jews because Christians are also Abraham’s seed and rightful heirs. Christ put an end to distinctions of race favoritism and “confidence in the flesh” (Phil 3:3). This ended the need for only one race to possess Jerusalem due to the “better promises” in Christ. Jesus and his liturgy became the new Jerusalem per Revelation 21 and the CCC #1404. Christians enter it permanently after passing from this life. Just as the priesthood according to Melchizedek (cf. Heb 7:17-22) superseded the promised “everlasting” priesthood of Aaron, so the Church and its liturgies superseded the “everlasting” promise of land to only physical descendants. “Everlasting” promises were recapitulated in Christ (cf. Eph 1:10).
If there is one group of people serious about their project to re-build Second Temple Judaism, and an Israel distinct from Christ’s Church, it’s modern religious Zionist Israelis currently in Netanyahu’s cabinet (and their useful Christian Zionists). These are the men about which the former Israeli intelligence heads were warning the world about “extremists”. Not even counting the billionaires – who are buying massive corporate and social media, and funding “Christian” organizations in favor of controlling content and opinion about the state of Israel – and not even counting the in-kind budgets of useful Christian pastors already dedicated to false prophecy, the Israeli government itself under Benjamin Netanyahu just voted to increase its foreign propaganda budget (hasbara) from $150 million in 2025 to $750 million in 2026. Simultaneously, the start of December 2025, 1k Christian Zionist pastors were just summoned to Israel from America to spread theological Zionist propaganda back in the States. Ten thousand more pastors are planned for similar summoning and commissioning over the next 3 years.
Catholic leaders and Catholic doctrine are their implied main target. Consider this essay a wake-up slap on the face to hypnotized Catholics to prepare for 2026 and the coming flood of false prophets in every communication network (physical and digital) these next 3 years. Theological Zionists and their organizations are not friends of Catholic doctrine. These “ignorant and unstable men twist” (2 Pet 3:16b) the one true “faith of Jesus” (Rev 14:12) “to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures” (2 Pet 3:16c). The times call for blunt and clear statements because the false prophets are enabling unnecessary wars, murder, and destruction.
Further explanation and detail is planned for this possibly 3-Part essay. Below, Part I explains that the Catholic Church is what Second Temple Judaism was meant to become and that anti-Zionism is not antisemitism. In fact, much of modern “anti-Zionism” is more correctly labeled post-Zionism because it accepts the 1948 state of Israel but legally resists it annexing more lands since 1967 that rightfully belong to Palestinians. Additionally, since most theological Zionists are Protestant Christians, then “anti-Zionism” is not intrinsically antisemitic.
Part II may be released in a month. It will explain who the “ignorant and unstable” Protestant and Catholic false ecumenists are, how they operate and why they are wrong. Part III would detail the flood of false prophets you will experience in America for 2026 and the absurd commissioning they received from Mike Huckabee (with Benjamin Netanyahu’s support) in the state of Israel the first week of December 2025. [The ending YouTube video and panel discussion after Part I below should suffice for Parts II and III for now.]
Part I: Anti-Zionism Is Not Antisemitism
It is one thing to support the state of Israel today because you believe it is a strategic ally and bulwark against radical Islam. It is another thing to support the state of Israel for false theological reasons or false prophetic reasons. The first reason can be prudent, the other reason highly imprudent and usually heretical for Christians. [This article sees Christian Zionism as primarily false prophecy before labeling it heretical (which it usually is).] One can support the state of Israel for political, natural law, and strategic reasons without embracing modern religious or theological Zionism. However, even strategic support does not dispense from speaking against and preventing illegal expansionism and violations of civil and international law.
Theological Zionism almost always undermines a two State solution, the solution the Vatican has supported for decades. Vatican acceptance of the political state of Israel is mostly based on the distinctions between secular governance and theological motivations. It’s oftentimes a complex navigation that involves making important distinctions between natural law, governance and theological claims, but it’s a reasoned position. It’s as reasoned as some Christians viewing Qatar and Saudi Arabia as strategic partners even though one does not support the general religious motivations of those nations when they are a hindrance to Christian ethos. At a cultural level, the new 1948 state of Israel had similarities to the United States which was the first to recognize it as a new political reality.
More important than support for democratic processes, both peoples – cultural Jews in the new 1948 state of Israel and cultural Christians in America – draw upon the same ancient Israelite and succeeding Second Temple heritage (circa 520 B.C. to 70 A.D). Religious heritage unites us even if our distinct reform movements divide us. Christianity and rabbinic Judaism represent two very different major reforms of that common Second Temple Judaism which ended for everyone in 70 A.D.
Rabbinic Judaism adapted the synagogue practices but operated without the Temple and its daily sacrifice after 70 A.D.. The Jews that followed Jesus reformed Second Temple Judaism before the Second Temple was destroyed and eventually called themselves Christians. In accord with the New Covenant of the Messiah, they possessed an indestructible and true temple from heaven (cf. Heb 8:2; 12:22), better sacrifices than the Old Law (Heb 9:23), and a high priest that admits the assembly of the New Covenant into the true holy of holies (Heb 10:19) and the Jerusalem from above (Gal 4:26; Rev 21:22). Christianity and Rabbinic Judaism nevertheless share the same Second Temple heritage, but Rabbinic Judaism cannot claim to be the heritage of Christians when the word “Judeo-Christian” heritage is used. Second Temple Judaism and the Law and the Prophets are the shared heritage, but not today’s Rabbinic Judaism.
To be antisemitic can mean hating one’s Second Temple heritage and forerunners or hating modern ethnically Jewish people, many of whom have no hatred of Christ or Christians and who are not religious Zionists (i.e. they do not claim divine right to take lands from Palestinians based on the Law or Prophets). Besides all of this, Christians are commanded to love their enemies, and so racism or antisemitism is always unacceptable amongst Christians.
Anti-Zionism cannot be intrinsically antisemitic because it basically began as a political protest to the British political policy and movement by which the 1917 Balfour Declaration fostered new migrations of European Jews (who were citizens of other countries) into what became known as British Mandated Palestine. Anti-Zionism was not against Judaism or Jews for their ethnicity. It was against a British-sponsored migration and policy that eventually forced the displacement of native inhabitants of Palestine, the mostly Muslim and Arab Christian populations, off the still held and perpetual ancestral lands of Palestinians. The rapid migration of European Jews under the British governance eventually carved out territories for Jewish self-governance inside British Mandated Palestine and led to the 1948 state of Israel.
The British government had authority (natural law and political power) from the League of Nations to govern migrations in its governed territories even if British reasoning included a false understanding of Old and New Testament prophecy (theological claims) and lots of political donations that influenced them (dominion over them as donors have over politicians). Officially Anglican Christian, the British government of 1917 was motivated more by religious and theological Zionism than the secular and agnostic Jewish leaders of “political” Zionism. The Jewish leaders of Zionism at that time were mainly set on creating an ethnic homeland and not “biblical” Israel. In this sense, the Anti-Zionism of Palestinians is and was no more racist than American demands for the integrity of their territories. In fact, Palestinians had longer possession of their lands than today’s Americans.
Today’s more recent “anti-Zionism” in the Christian West, motivated by the substantial coverage and testimonies of ethnic cleansing in Gaza and criminal activity by the IDF under the Netanyahu regime in the West Bank (cf. testimony of Moshe Yaalon and Ehud Olmert), really should be understood as a moderate post-Zionism and not anti-Zionism. It is a protest against violations of the innocent Palestinians who have continuously had their land taken from them illegally and contrary to international law by European and American Jewish settlers/cultists. Here are just some of the charges the International Criminal Court has made against Netanyahu and his Israeli government associates: “Allegedly responsible for the war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare and of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts from at least 8 October 2023 until at least 20 May 2024.”
Moderate post-Zionism (like this article) since the 1990’s accepts the state of Israel’s rights and obligations since its political establishment in 1948, but rejects the territorial expansionism of religious Zionism since 1967 (theological claims of divine right to take the lands from the legal inhabitants). Post-Zionist rejection of false religious Zionist claims to “ancestral lands” is in accord with international law and U.N. rulings and followed by the vast majority of nations. To equate anti-Zionism (really Post-Zionism) with antisemitism is a misrepresentation of history and overreach of the current state of Israel (and advocates of such definitions). It conflates political sectarian religious ideology (religious Zionism) with race. It is worth reminding everyone, the majority of Zionists are actually Christians in America, so anti-Zionism cannot be intrinsically antisemitic. If anything, anti-Zionism is a correction to Christians.
While strategic alliances with the new 1948 state of Israel can sometimes be prudent, the alliances (and sharing military hardware & cybersecurity) became more than morally and legally questionable when attempted genocides, war crimes, and crimes against humanity were substantially alleged and documented; especially by multiple and honorable world leaders (including Jews and Israelis). The alliance becomes subversive to Americans when Israel and its cooperators inside the U.S.A. attempt to suppress the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights through foreign pressure campaigns. The intimidation of American politicians and media figures who question Israeli policies against Palestinians, and the engagement in massive media buyouts (like TikTok, etc…) as proposed by Netanyahu (currently indicted for war crimes by the ICC), are flashing red lights to anyone with a properly formed conscience.
More dangerous to Christian faith, and the worship which Jesus established to save our souls, is the cooperation by Christians in theological (or religious) Zionism which the state of Israel is trying to more deeply inculcate in American culture (against the wishes of many Jews and even evangelicals). It is to the delight of cooperative Christian heretics and false prophets because Christian Zionism supports their misreading of Saint Paul and the Book of Revelation. Saint Peter had warned Christians: “There are some things in [Paul’s writings] hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other scriptures” (cf. 2 Pet 3:16).
Even the vast majority of orthodox Jews in the 19th and early 20th Century were opposed originally to the Zionism of its founders (i.e. Theodore Herzl) and refused to allow Judaism to be associated with his efforts. The original theological opinions of most rabbis worldwide against Theodore Herzl’s Zionism proves that modern Zionism and 19th Century Judaism were not intrinsic to each other and so anti-Zionism should not be construed as antisemitism.
In its most recent and implicit attack (December 2025) on the one, holy, catholic and apostolic faith of Christians (and thousands of Jewish rabbis still opposed to Zionism), the Zionist state of Israel co-sponsored the cultivation of 1,000 American Christian pastors (“the ignorant and unstable”) to be commissioned in Israel in order to return to the U.S.A. and defy the majority of orthodox Christians. The false prophets seek to create a favorable political atmosphere to theological Zionism. In cooperation with Americans, Israel plans on cultivating ten thousands more pastors over the next 3 years and has started a budget to do so.
The heretical pastors are returning to spread theological Zionism: that all the physical land of Second Temple Judaism (lost 2K years ago circa 70-130 A.D.) and First Temple Israel (permanently lost 3K years ago by 722 B.C.) is still promised [solely] to Jacob’s descendants according to the flesh as rightful rulers. These false prophets ignore the coming of Jesus Christ who reformed God’s promises to “better promises” (cf. Heb 8:6 & 2 Pet 1:4) for all nations, a visible Church, and a recapitulated Israel without physical borders (cf. 1 Pet 2:9).
Christian Zionist theology and its false prophecies about need for Jewish possession of the physical land (especially Jerusalem) contradict Christ’s establishment of the Church on earth as the new Israel and Kingdom of God. When Catholic Christians say the Church is the “new Israel” in 9.3 of the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church (Lumen Gentium), they don’t mean the Church simply replaced Second Temple Judaism (which ended in 70 A.D.). They mean Christ reformed (cf. Heb 9:10) Second Temple Israel/Judaism, that he recapitulated it (cf. Eph 1:10), and the Church is now “the Israel of God” (Gal 6:16) until the end of the world.
The former Judaism of Second Temple Israel – which was “according to racial descent” or “the flesh” – and its previous civil and ceremonial laws were ended by Jesus Christ in the timeframe he gave it to repent and accept him as the true King of Israel. It was destroyed 40 years after Christ’s public ministry began. The Church superseded Second Temple Judaism and is why Saint Paul said “we are the true circumcision” (Phil 3:3 RSV).
As stated in a previous article, Saint Augustine’s Commentary on Psalm 76 [75 in the Latin Vulgate] succinctly captures the orthodox Christian tradition:
“[those who have rejected Christ] are not worthy to be called Jews, except only in the flesh” [ch 1]
“The true Judea, then is the Church of Christ, believing in that King, who hath come out of the tribe of Judah through the Virgin Mary” [ch 1]
“Concerning Israel also we ought so to take it as we have concerning Judaea: as they were not the true Jews [those rejecting Jesus], so neither was that the true Israel…the true Sion is the Church of Christians” [ch 2]
Simultaneously, the promise of “the land” – in which Second Temple Israel hoped to experience sovereignty – was realized in Christ and a kingdom not of this world. The promise was taken up into the “better promises” (Heb 8:6) of the Messianic kingdom of Jesus as foretold by the law and prophets (cf. Rom 10:4). The better promises were that of possessing God’s divinity inside your soul (eternal life) and tasting the beginning of heaven (cf. Heb 6:5) instead of merely possessing dirt (physical land). Go for dirt or go for divinity (becoming sons in the Son) are the questions that drive the kind of messiah one seeks in the question of what is true Zionism. Treasure in heaven or treasure on earth differentiates two kinds of kingdoms.
God always meant for Israel to possess communion with Himself in the Holy of Holies, a kingdom of priests (cf. Exodus 19:6), and so Christ re-established and realized what was meant for all Israel: “God granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature” (2 Pet 1:4). The real promise of “the land” was answered in 2 Peter 1:4. The land promise was not dematerialized into something merely spiritual, it was sacramentalized with real matter and form in new temple worship and a visible assembly where heaven and earth are joined in Eucharistic worship. We will eventually see heaven with eyes unveiled (apocalypse) if we possess the heavenly gift inside our souls before we die.
Between dirt or divinity, Christians choose divinity (being made sons in the Son by the Spirit) and so being “partakers of the Holy Spirit” (Hebrews 6:4). For this reason, Peter exclaimed: “But you [baptized into Christ] are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people” (1 Pet 2:9). The Church is the Israel of God and built on promises realized in Christ. Circumcision was replaced with Baptism (Col 2:11) and so Saint Paul called Christians the true Jews or Israel: “we are the true circumcision” (Phil 3:3; cf. Gal 6:16).
God’s true Israel now exists under the kingship of Jesus Christ, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Son of God. Jesus is the new temple, he is the new sacrificial lamb, he is the new high priest, and so Jesus forms “the new people of God” (Nostra Aetate #4.6), dogmatically called the “new Israel” (cf. Lumen Gentium #9.3). In the liturgies of the Apostles and their successors, the “new Jerusalem” comes down from heaven (cf. Rev 21) and manifests in the sacraments until Christ comes in glory. Christians who deny this are the “ignorant and unstable” who are stuck in sin and misinterpret Saint Paul.
The “ignorant and unstable” think justification is merely forensic or external instead of intrinsic and real participation in the divine nature by grace (cf. 2 Pet 1:4). They wait for a future kingdom instead of the one that Christ already communicates sacramentally and with real infusion of the Holy Spirit as “partakers of the Holy Spirit” (Heb 6:4). The Kingdom is the Spirit. The kingdom is already here even if its fullness is received beyond this life. The “thousand year reign” of Christ began at his Ascension and with his Church. We don’t await another Israel. We await the fulness of glory which has already begun in Christ (cf. 2 Cor 5:4-5).
