Some conversations feel like a full-circle moment.
This was one of them.
I recently sat down for a video podcast interview that traces my journey—from sneaking backstage in Hollywood and hustling my way into rooms I “wasn’t supposed to be in,” to building Clean Living Magazine and a global clean beauty movement rooted in health, truth, and community.
It’s raw. It’s honest. And it’s the most complete version of my story I’ve shared publicly.

The Hustle Nobody Sees
Before Silicon Valley, before magazines and stages, there was Hollywood.
I talk about:
Paying doormen $100 just to get backstage
Sneaking into music video sets with Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj
Sitting next to Kim Kardashian before she was famous
Being told “you’re done, go home” — and choosing not to leave
What I learned early is something I still live by today:
Access often goes to the person who refuses to exit the room.
The Diagnosis That Changed Everything
In 2018, my life took a hard pivot.
I was diagnosed at Stanford with an autoimmune condition and partial vision loss—caused by the very makeup products I had spent years using on celebrities.
That moment cracked everything open.
I learned that:
The U.S. hasn’t meaningfully regulated cosmetics since 1938
Toxic ingredients were hiding in everyday beauty products
No one was really talking about it in a way that felt accessible, honest, or founder-led
So I did what I’ve always done when something felt broken.
I built something new.
Clean Beauty Wasn’t a Trend—It Was a Necessity
Out of that health crisis came:
The world’s first Clean Beauty podcast
A platform exposing toxic ingredients and industry loopholes
Clean Living Magazine, now reaching 2.5 million readers worldwide
A community of founders, creatives, and women building businesses with integrity
In the interview, we dive into why California’s new cosmetic regulations will change the entire industry—and why transparency is no longer optional.
The B-Word, Burnout, and Boundaries
We also talk about the parts people don’t glamorize:
Why being called “the B-word” actually helped my business grow
Turning down Shark Tank
Shutting down my own product company—on purpose
Managing four rental properties, a media company, events, and motherhood
And why community, not clout, is the real asset
There’s no overnight success here.
Just resilience, pattern recognition, and the willingness to pivot when the truth demands it.
Why This Conversation Matters
If you’re:
An entrepreneur navigating reinvention
A founder building in a crowded or unregulated industry
A woman who’s been underestimated, labeled, or dismissed
Or someone quietly rebuilding after a health or life wake-up call
This episode is for you.
Not because it’s polished—but because it’s real.

And if it resonates, share it with someone who needs permission to trust their pivot.
