BUT WAIT! FIRST! I must invite you to the very first CARTOON STRIPS! May 21st at the brand new Greenpoint Comedy Club. It’s going to be insane and fabulous. Tickets are only $20 which is a steal for this kind of lineup.
Back to cartoons. Up first, a belated Mother’s Day cartoon that made my dad laugh so hard that he called and said “I need that one for my office.” When you have five children, they never really leave.
This next one started first just with the idea of billboards in heaven. What would they advertise?? Then I was like okay definitely an injury attorney. Then I was laughing at the idea of just “Murdered?" Call Bob.” I sat on the actual line of the joke for awhile. I thought about stuff that was silly, but with all the true crime I listen to, I ended up with a more serious joke about which cases get coverage. And there you have it, another reject!!
I drew this when James and I first met and it is still an accurate depiction of our lives. It’s also very on theme for my upcoming show “it’s crowded” — I think I’ll include it in the show. P.S. wish James a very happy birthday!!!
This an oldie y’all! Circa 2018. When I look at this cartoon I’m like wow I used to be so much sillier. I don’t know why I think that? Like, I am still VERY silly. But there’s something about this cartoon that makes me yearn for my earlier cartooning days. I don’t think I really even understand this feeling.
Okay last but not least, inspired by the time I had massive construction behind my apartment for 2 straight years.
