Before I share today’s replay, a quick note: Our second of three Summer Clarity calls is tomorrow Friday, June 12th at 12pm ET. We’ll be getting practical about what to do when summer goes sideways — screens, sibling stuff, meltdowns, shifting plans, irritations, and all the ordinary human moments that scrumple us up and ask us to come back to ourselves. If you’d like to join us, you can still get in here: Summer Clarity
Today we gathered for the second of my 13 Questions summer inquiry.
Last week we began with: What has attention made possible?
And today we spent time with: What has become more alive?
It was such a rich hour.
We settled in, wrote for 13 minutes, and then shared what the question opened up.
For me, this question opened into my senses, my relationship with nature and the elements, the life I once dreamed of and am now living inside of, and a deeper awareness of what I’ve been calling Big Beings in little bodies.
We are consciousness, essence, Isness.
And we are also human bodies with needs, histories, nervous systems, capacity, hunger, tiredness, tenderness, and limits.
One of the things that became more alive for me this week is this:
The more honestly and lovingly I tend my humanness, the more available I am to my beingness.
Or said another way:
Tending the human helps the being remember.
That feels like a very useful thing to keep exploring (and will be a piece of our second summer clarity call tomorrow).
You can watch or listen to today’s replay below. The prompt (with some extra doorways in) is below as well. If you’d like to write with the question on your own, put this at the top of a page and give yourself 13 minutes:
What has become more alive?
Let it go anywhere. Keep the pen moving. Write the question again whenever you need to begin again.
No need to make sense. No need to get anywhere. Just spend a little time in honest conversation with your life.
I’ll be back next Thursday with question #3.
With love,
Carrie

Prompt:
What feels more vivid now?
What feels more true?
What has softened or strengthened?
What has returned?
What has been quietly coming back to life?
What kind of aliveness feels honest now?
