Today’s Evolving Personhood gathering felt like a deep exhale. We slowed way down together and explored a simple but powerful reminder that kept coming back to me after the conference last week:
Regulation happens in the micro.
In other words, we come back to ourselves in tiny moments. Through small acts of noticing, breathing, pausing, and returning throughout ordinary life.
During the call we considered the tiny practices that help us steady, fuel, and reconnect with ourselves in the middle of real life. Especially as we head into the summer season.
The conversation that unfolded afterward was so rich — co-regulation with children, transitions, sensory overwhelm, summertime rhythms, agency, grief, smiling, tiny cleaning blitzes, walking barefoot, one thing at a time. So much wisdom on one call.
And honestly?
By the end of the call, I felt more resourced too.
Next week, we’re going to build on all of this with Summer Clarity — a two-part gathering designed to help us enter the season with more steadiness, intention, spaciousness, and support.
We’ll reflect on:
what we want this summer to feel like
what helps us stay connected to ourselves and our people
what rhythms, practices, and reminders actually support us
and how to create a summer that feels nourishing instead of depleting
There will also be a beautiful guidebook filled with prompts, reminders, and simple practices for both you and your growing people.

And in the meantime remember:
Tiny count.
With love,
Carrie
P.S. Before summer gets rolling, I’m offering a two-part Summer Clarity call. It’s a chance to get clear on how you want to feel and who you want to be with your people through these months. Part one is May 29th. I’d love to have you there. Click here to learn more. https://carriecontey.thinkific.com/courses/summerclarity

Prompts:
What tiny things help me come back to myself during ordinary life?
What shifts my nervous system, even slightly, toward steadiness, presence, or ease?
What micro-practices could support me through the fullness of this season?
