It’s been a while since my last newsletter! My idea was to write one every month, but lately things got a bit busy. Between work and family, time just flew.

At the same time, I don’t want to feel trapped by this publication or turn it into another obligation. But I also didn’t want to stop sharing. I know there are also some new people who’ve joined us recently, so here’s a very short update on what’s been going on lately. It will be a bit different from usual, but here’s a little recap:

I signed up for a course, and one of the exercises was to go out and draw from life and photos. I didn’t expect much, but it truly changed me. It’s one of those things you know are valuable, yet you don’t really understand until you experience them.

Some printed copies of book covers I had been working on finally arrived, always exciting to see them in real life!

I’m taking part in Peachtober this month.

One of my biggest struggles is that I think too much, my mind runs faster than my hand. I get frustrated, have too many ideas, start many projects but rarely finish them.
One day, while trying different things, this character appeared. She made me curious, and that’s why I chose to use this challenge to get to know her better.
So, even if I still need to work on this, I want to use the challenge to practice:

  1. Finishing one project. This is more important than how “perfect” each drawing looks.

  2. Working with one character during the 31 days, to know her better in form and identity.

  3. Keep experimenting with mixed media, between traditional and digital.

  4. And most of all, having fun.

Right now, I’m on a family trip in Italy. We’ve been exploring Rome and Florence so far, such beautiful cities, full of history and art.

Thank you for still being here and reading. Even when things get busy, it’s nice to take a moment to share and reconnect. I promise to get back to the full and original format once this trip ends.

In the meantime, I hope you’re doing very well, spending your days drawing, creating, or simply doing what you love.

See you soon 😊
