You and I

You and I are each other’s gift 🎁

Though we may always misunderstand,

The reason is clear,

The lesson lies beyond what we could learn by natural means.

The mirror of you shows parts of me, that I alone could never see -

And the mirror of me - is always true, reflecting lessons intricately designed for you.

So we are each other’s gift 🎁

Packaged 📦 so we cannot comprehend,

Colliding together,

As Atoms finally finding their place,

Our differences magnifying what we try so hard to disguise - and find even more difficult to face.

We are all unique expressions of the whole,

With the same hopes, desires and expectations - the same fear -

It’s just that we have forgotten why we are here.

We are not meant to be alone - adrift -

We are made for connection

We are eternally evolving

We are each other’s gift 🎁.

Strange as it may seem, it will always be those whom we struggle with most that become our greatest teachers in life. There is a reason for every person in your sphere - each and every one brings a unique lesson that only they can bring.

There is no escaping this fact. Nothing happens by coincidence - everything is Divinely purposed for our unique evolution. We may run and hide from those we struggle with - but if they hold a lesson we need to learn then they will ‘come around' again in the form of another person.

It seems the only way to truly evolve is to Surrender. Acceptance of everyone in our reality can be revelatory. If we are tuned in to this fact, we can become the ‘observer’ of our life - seeing it as neither good nor bad - but merely accepting it as it is.

If every difficult or complicated relationship can be viewed through this lens - if we can remain neutral even when triggered - then we will be well on the way to a deeper understanding of humanity. Conversely this will also open us up to our Divinity, because once we see the intricacies of each unique plan, we recognise that it can only be Divinely orchestrated- for it is tuned with such precision that it would be impossible to be merely chance.

Life has a way of sending us the lessons we need - but don’t necessarily enjoy! My own experience has taught me that there is no escaping them. If I try to sidestep them or push them away - they just return in an unfamiliar form - to finally be mastered.

This ought to give me a greater degree of confidence in learning - for if the lesson never stops repeating until it is learned, then eventually I will ‘arrive’ at my ultimate destination. However, many things (and people) can get lost along this path to self mastery. We can cause both ourself and others unnecessary suffering when we live the unexamined life.

We are all the products of our individual learning - our upbringing deposits patterns within us that are almost imperceivable. In effect we are programmed subconsciously by our primary carers in childhood. We learn how to relate to each other and the world around us. We learn about love - and all the conditions placed upon it. Sadly most of our learning is defective. It is not Godly - it is human - for we, after all are ‘only human’ in this life.

It is the search for unconditional love that propels into a search for the Divine. Our desire to find true love and connection - which is our Souls longing in reaching out to God.

Interestingly, once we learn acceptance and surrender, the uncomfortable lessons will ultimately cease - and be replaced by more peaceful connections, till eventually our outer world 🌎 will reflect our inner understanding.

This is how we will change the world. One step, and one person, at a time. Becoming Love ❤️ - first in our own life - on the inside - accepting and loving ourself and surrendering to life as it is - and then reflecting this Love as we walk through our lives, to everyone we meet. This can only be achieved by embodying Divine Love - which is perfect - unconditional and unchanging.
