Carly Kuhn · The Cartelier

I wanted to share some illustrated sentiments with you on this Sunday evening. Hoping the below offers a nice end to your weekend/pleasant start to the week... or, if you happen to be reading this on a random Tuesday, a welcome pause in your day. Enjoy!

“Dressed on the Lawn”

“It’s nice to converse on the lawn with a friend,
while wearing your best clothes, and on the weekend.
now you may think that’s odd,
especially on wet sod,
but who cares!? Life is short! Ladidah, just pretend.”

“Mr. Lion’s Long Day”

“Well, it’s been a long day.
That’s kind of all I can say.”

“Barnaby”

“Barnaby Belloughs was just a simple fellow.
He loved purples ties and his coats a sort of yellow.
He’d often look up in the sky,
with his fingers around just one eye.
Even though passersby could be judgy and wonder why.”

“Finley the Flamingo”

“I like to dress up and go out on the town
A top hat, a monocle, a mooooostach that is round.
And perhaps some red shoes,
For I have nothing to lose.
Except, wait my pants!
Where’d they go!? I’m confused…”

“D is for Duck”
“Is Monday Really Necessary?”
“Why Did I Come In Here Again?”

Curiously Yours,

Carly
