We have a cover! I’m so excited Huguette comes into the world in December. Here are some pre-order links for Huguette in case you’re already thinking of holiday gifting.
At La crème de Paris in the Palais Royal - such sweet cafe staff and heaven to sit under the arcades, charging my phone and watching the fountain spray.
A flic enjoying his profiteroles at Le Zimmer, a timeless classic.
Here’s our wonderful April in Paris group in Montmartre - so many adventures, flic’s joining us for aperitif’s and tutorials on tying a scarf by a Parisienne.
Oui, we’re doing APRIL IN PARIS again April 19-25, 2026! This year we had such a long wait list we did two groups ! If you’re interested please contact Meg my pal and organizer extraordinaire.
I stumbled on this out of the way entrance into Père Lachaise. Who knew? Then faced this map to try and find my Résistant friend Naftali’s grave…zut!
Naftali, who sadly passed at 97, was in section 39. But a grave’s complicated to find, as many of you probably know. And in a heatwave. But I got lucky and said goodbye to Naftali, who I miss.
Warm weather brings out the boules players in Place Dauphine. Hint, there’s a scene in Huguette which takes place here.
What’s a trip to Paris without visiting the Louvre Couture? Highly recommended.
My fave! Pockets and covered in tiny beads.
And a visit to 36, the Prefecture de Police
to have a nearby two hour lunch with my pal, Patrick, who runs four teams in the Brigade Criminelle, the elite homicide squad. Research!
Thank you for reading and you’re welcome to share my newsletter which is, and will always be, free!
