A few things to remember for all PU visit:

  • Mandarin & Cantonese spoken/heard in: Princeton, Edison.

  • Transportation method (s): Rental car + easy pass (for toll roads), NJ Transit

  • If renting car: Park on Prospect or by PUP, Charlton St. no longer accessible and campus parking is $$ + free Princeton Loop or TigerTransit shuttle ride.

  • TYM would probably prefer we NJ Transit in from Newark if flying, but the closest airport remains TTN + ~$30 Lyft/Uber ride.

  • Places we didn’t get to visit, and will return for: Alchemist & Barrister, Genomics Cafe, Alexander beach volleyball court, Hoagie Haven, the Bent Spoon, and Lambertville.

TJM went back for his advisor, Buzzy Teiser’s, retirement conference, which allowed us to spend 3 days in Princeton this time. Catching up w/ old colleagues and checking out the new eateries around town was a true pleasure, and pricey if not careful. In lieu of a video this time, we put our ITINERARY and JOURNAL on Wanderlog.

Dinky! Nassau Inn / Yankee Doodle Tavern! JYM's former house on Charlton!

After spending some much-needed QT w/ extended family at the Jersey Shore, we finally returned to Jersey after about 6 years, and with both kids for the first time! It was about time we introduced them to our extended family, and to visit some old stomping grounds where mommy and daddy's courtship began:

A few things to remember for all Jersey Shore visits:

  • Accommodations: AirBnB, VRBO in Jersey Shore

  • Always be wearing sunblock.

  • Breakfast/Brunch spot on the water: Fishin’ Pier Grille.

  • Go to Aqua Park when it opens - 1st come 1st serve.

  • Seafood carry-out: Avalong Seafood Produce Market.

  • Avalon beaches are private (need to pay for beach tags to access).

His first book is finally published and available for purchase! This was once a Ph.D thesis, and the project began in late 2011, early 2012. Here’s what happened in between time (over a decade of living life!):

  • Accommodations: Grad College dormitory, Charlton St. house, Tulane St. apartment, Bridge St. apartment above soap shop (now popcorn shop) on the river in New Hope, PA.
