The government describes the current version, launched in November 2025, as a Minimum Viable Product assembled from existing government information.

It remains an early-stage transparency mechanism rather than a complete inventory of every possible government Al application.

The Al register initially contained information from 42 institutions covering more than 400 Al systems at stages ranging from experimentation to deployment.

The issue is no longer: "Why doesn't Canada have a public Al register?"

It becomes: "How complete, mandatory, current and independently verifiable is Canada's Al Register?"

The government's Algorithmic Impact Assessment remains mandatory for automated decision systems covered by the Treasury Board directive and contains 65 risk questions and 41 mitigation questions.

Meanwhile, the July 23-September 23 Al transparency consultation continues.

It is examining disclosure of Al-generated content, disclosure when people interact with Al, incident reporting and agentic Al.

All related to regulating public Al.

None of it relating to Government Al.

Who will protect us from Government Al overreach?

At this point, only Pierre Poilievre.

Regulatory shackles and chains apparently mean nothing when "feeling good" about Mr Carney is more important than his WEF background and lack of transparency and accountability.

His motivation is a matter of public record.

Mr Carney is Barack Obama on steroids.

Personal rights and freedoms do not even make the bottom of his lengthy To-Do list.

He will transform Canada into his European image of a post national state.

And according to recent polls, that's just fine with most Canadians.

Even though our economy is joined at the hip with the US.

Even though a European make-over will raise our COL and lower our SOL.

Most Canadians will not appreciate the freedom we have had until the chains of over-regulation choke off their enjoyment of the largest, freest, most prosperous land mass in the world.

A country full of riches being destroyed by a globalist vision of reducing mankind to the lowest common denominator.

In social fairness?

No.

It’s a calculated move to reduce mankind to serfdom.

Ruled by technocrats who know what's best for you and me.

And our families.

And our coming generations.

Possibly more dangerous to Canadian freedom than all the"isms" combined, because the stealth factor is working so well most Liberal voters are still oblivious to it.

A slow, stealthy takeover of a once great prosperous and free nation.

Political research should be a mandatory course in Canadian education.

It could replace the Ideological indoctrination that passes for critical thinking.

🇨🇦FD FIREARMS RIGHTS TRACKER

SIGNAL: NEW TODAY

Today, August 10, is a filing deadline in the Supreme Court litigation challenging the federal 2020 firearms prohibition.

The Supreme Court has authorized the Attorney General of Canada to file a single common factum of up to 70 pages today across the four related appeals.

Saskatchewan and Alberta have until September 8 for their intervention factums, followed by September 22 responses from the principal parties.

Why it matters:

This moves the firearms challenge another step toward substantive Supreme Court consideration.

It is no longer merely a leave-to-appeal story; the arguments and intervention structure are now being assembled for the hearing.

Once Canada's factum becomes publicly accessible, it deserves analysis:

What exactly is Ottawa asking the Supreme Court to uphold, and on what constitutional and administrative-law basis?
