Fiercely pro-Canada.

Fiercely opposed to government overreach.

This publication is dedicated to preserving the heritage of freedom my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deserve to inherit.

Major Supreme Court of Canada development:

The Supreme Court issued an important order on August 13 in the four challenges to the 2020 firearms prohibition.

The court granted intervener status to:

  • Canadian Constitution Foundation

  • Canadian Shooting Sports Association

  • International Practical Shooting Confederation Canada

  • Safari Club International

  • Canadian Coalition for Gun Control

  • British Columbia Civil Liberties Association

  • Ontario Rifle Association

  • Canada’s National Firearms Association.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation’s application was refused.

Each approved intervenor may file a common factum of up to 10 pages by September 22 and receive five minutes of oral argument at the hearing.

The British Columbia Civil Liberties Association intervention makes this more than a conventional firearm policy dispute.

The Court will now hear from organizations approaching the case through several different lenses:

  • firearms ownership

  • sporting use

  • gun-control advocacy

  • civil liberties

  • constitutional constraints on executive government.

The case becomes an examination of:

  • delegated executive authority

  • legal certainty

  • administrative law

  • criminal liability

  • Charter protections

  • regulatory classification

The Attorney General’s consolidated 70-page maximum respondent’s factum filed on August 10.

It remains marked “Incomplete” while printed material is due on August 17, making the document not publicly available.

Hearing: November 9, 2026.

No new parliamentary measure or provincial firearms restrictions.

Current federal prohibition lists continue to cover the May 2020, December 2024, and March 2025 lists.

The Supreme Court has ensured that the November hearing will include both firearm confiscation advocates and substantial civil liberties and firearms rights perspectives.

Canada hasn’t Charter Rights that apply to firearm possession.

But:

Firearms are a Canadian heritage resulting from a lifestyle living in the second-largest wilderness land mass in the world.

Hunting and target shooting are family sports enjoyed as recreation by 2.3 million Canadians.

Wild game is the purest form of meat.

The culling of wild animals is a scientific principle.

Government trained, licensed, vetted firearm users are one of Canada’s safest, most law abiding groups, tracked by police computers daily looking for red flags.

The stringent Canadian firearm program makes Canada one of the world’s leaders in responsible firearm policy.

  • It is a Liberal vote grab that targets uninformed voters.

  • It is mostly political optics and posturing.

  • It is an attack against individualism.

  • It is not a public safety issue.

  • It diverts from law enforcement pressure against violent crime and illegally armed firearm criminals.

  • It is an example of government overreach against a large group of Canadians.

  • All prohibited firearm classification lists are open ended, guaranteeing intent to eventually ban all firearms.

  • Firearm confiscation is a staple in all left wing governments in history.

Firearm confiscation is offensive to law abiding firearm owners and a major indicator that government is willing to oppress large groups of Canadians without statistical proof of wrongdoing.

It is the attempt to limit individualism and force collectivism on free Canadians.
