Fiercely pro-Canada

Fiercely opposed to government overreach

This publication is dedicated to the freedom heritage my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren deserve.

🇨🇦FD Mission:

To document this pivotal moment in Canadian history.

To monitor the factors influencing Canada's freedom, prosperity, and government trust.

To support peaceful democratic participation, lawful civic engagement, and the safeguarding of fundamental rights and freedoms through constitutional and democratic means.

AI. Electricity. Critical minerals. Infrastructure. Indigenous reconciliation. Aboriginal rights and title. Resource development. Arctic security. Defence. Trade. The U.S. relationship. Housing. Jobs. Wages. Affordability.

We’ve been following these developments individually.

Now we’re going to start connecting the dots.

A larger picture is emerging: Canada may be passing through three major transformations simultaneously.

Changing how Canada works.

Changing relationships among Indigenous Nations, governments, land, rights and resources.

Changing Canada’s economic, security and geopolitical relationship with the world, and increasingly with itself.

And beneath all three sits the question Canadians encounter every day:

What does all this mean at the kitchen table?

These transformations offer enormous opportunities. They also carry disruption, uncertainty and risks that deserve serious examination.

The interesting part is that they are increasingly intersecting.

A data centre needs electricity.

Electricity requires infrastructure.

Infrastructure requires land and resources.

Development may involve Indigenous rights and partnerships.

Critical infrastructure affects economic and national security.

Investment affects productivity and jobs.

And eventually the costs and benefits reach Canadian households.

That’s where the dots connect.

Over the coming weeks, 🇨🇦FreedomDigest, IntelligenceBriefing, CanadaRising and HouseholdPressures will examine these developments through different lenses, without assuming that Canada’s transformation will either succeed or fail.

Three Hinges. Four Lenses. One Canada.

🇨🇦 Canada at the Hinge

The transformation is already underway. Our job is to understand it.
