A quick note to say I am doing an event in Dublin on Saturday at Whistleblower on reading and writing and a podcast too on Zoo, or, Letters Not About Love by Shklovsky to ask what happens when a critic writes a novel? Someone else had a library hold on the W.H. Auden bio I was reading and I had to return it so I am grumpy- I am coming for you with my own hold!!! At least got to the part where someone describes him ‘picking his nose and eating what he finds’. What a gorgeous allegory for a writer reading literature.
