Mads here! Happy belated International Oyster Day to everyone who loves a good oyster. If you're an oyster lover or looking for an excuse to order a dozen, this is the best time of year to enjoy the freshest oysters. Here are some of my favorite spots to do just that:

  • Broad St Oyster Co., Malibu 🦪 A laid-back seafood shack known for buttery lobster rolls & freshly shucked oysters. Order your oysters to-go in their portable containers and take them straight to the beach.

  • Crudo e Nudo, Santa Monica 🦪 Their rotating seafood menu has zero misses, including the oysters, which only get better paired with one of their wines!

  • Cento Raw Bar, West Adams 🦪 This raw bar (that looks like a real-life mermaid’s cave) is ideal for date night or a treat-yourself moment!

  • L&E Oyster Bar, Silver Lake 🦪 This neighborhood spot has been known for their oysters and cocktails for nearly 15 years now!

  • Queen’s Raw Bar & Grill, Eagle Rock 🦪 The team behind Found Oyster branched out with another seafood-focused concept! Sitting at the bar is the way to go.

  • Loreto, Frogtown 🦪 I’m often raving about Loreto’s Mexican-inspired coastal cuisine, including their exciting takes on serving oysters!
