I feel confident in saying you won't get a bad meal in Seville. It is such a beautiful city, and it feels like everything exists outside. I suppose the warmer southern climate calls for it, but even in the spring, people gather outside around tables, eating plates of fried and salty food that just begs for a gorgeous ice-cold beer. Seville is also a very good place to get a sandwich. Montaditos (open-faced sandwiches) are ordered and eaten standing, at bars packed with locals for breakfast. The Moorish influence is more present here than almost anywhere else in Spain. The use of cumin and saffron can be seen in lots of dishes, and you’ll notice more cold tapas like Gildas, potato salad, Gazpacho and Salmorejo to account for the hot climate that southern Spain brings. It is a passionate city, it is fiery and fast-paced. If you want to eat at a Tapas bar, you linger until a space is available, soaking in the buzz and atmosphere.
