Cali Mann · Cali Mann Romance

Dear Book Friends,

I’ve discovered something about myself. Apparently, I like my fictional worlds full of danger, complicated relationships, magic, monsters, and people making terrible decisions—but I want my video games to be the exact opposite.

My latest obsession is Leafy Corner, a cozy little plant shop simulator. I get plants. I take care of plants. I sell plants. That’s pretty much it, and somehow I am deeply invested.

This comes after my PowerWash Simulator phase, where I happily spent hours listening to K-pop while spraying imaginary dirt off imaginary things. Apparently, after spending all day creating problems for fictional people, my brain wants very simple instructions. Clean this wall. Take care of this plant. Put this pot on a shelf.

No prophecies. No magical councils. Nobody suddenly discovering multiple soulmates. Just plants.

And honestly? It’s wonderfully soothing.

So now I’m curious: Are you a gamer? What do you play when you want your brain to switch off for a while? Cozy games? Big adventures? Puzzles? The Sims? Or are games not your thing at all?

Hit reply and tell me. I’m always willing to acquire another completely unnecessary obsession.

Happy reading,

Cali

P.S. My imaginary plants are thriving. My fictional characters are... less fortunate.

P.S.S. The Kobo buy 1 get 1 sale is still going on all month, so if you want to check out Wickem, Mars, Reckless, or my Shifter Beach series, grab them now. And you can read them on the Kobo app on your phone or tablet; no need for an e-reader.
