Dear Book Friends,
It’s April, which always makes me a little nostalgic.
Mr. Mann and I got married in April, and every year I end up thinking about how we started.
One of the reasons I fell in love with him—no, not really, but it didn’t hurt—was that he was in a punk rock band. They played at some very small venues around town, and I fully embraced my role as a groupie… even if there were maybe ten people in the audience and the band wasn’t exactly good.
(We’re not telling him that part.)
But they did have this one song. And when he sang it, it absolutely curled my toes.
So clearly, I had no choice but to marry him.
Now I’m wondering if that somehow led to my current situation—because here I am, slightly obsessed with K-pop and guys crooning dramatically like it’s their full-time job.
Is it related? Who knows.
But I love him, and I love it, so I’m going to say yes.
So now I’m curious—what was your first concert… and was it actually good? If you reply and tell me, I might send you a little sneak peek of something new I’m working on 👀
Now that Wickem Academy Book 3, The Broken Imperium, is out in the world (which still feels a little surreal), I wanted to give you a quick heads up about something coming next.
Over the next few weeks, I’m going to start moving some of my books into Kindle Unlimited.
This is something I’ve been planning for a while, mostly because I want to make it easier to binge entire series in one place instead of hopping between stores.
But it does mean a few things are about to change.
Starting soon (within the next week or so), some of my ebooks will begin disappearing from Kobo, Apple, Google, and other wide retailers.
Not all at once—and not everything—but enough that if you prefer to buy and keep your ebooks outside of Amazon, now is a good time to grab anything you’ve been meaning to read.

• a few of my other paranormal titles
Wickem will stay right where it is for the foreseeable future, so no changes there.
I’ll give you another heads up before anything major disappears, but I didn’t want it to happen without warning.
On a happier note—The Broken Imperium is live, and I’ve been loving seeing your reactions to it.
This is the book where everything finally comes together, and it’s been really fun (and slightly nerve-wracking) letting it out into the world.
