As many of you may know, Cactus Store began as a brick-and-mortar retail location in 2014 in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. In 2017, we opened a temporary seasonal space in the Lower East Side of New York City for what was supposed to be just one summer-long popup. While we closed up shop in LA in 2021, we would continue to emerge seasonally in NYC, like many of our beloved plants, until the vacant lot that we called home was sold in the winter of 2024.
As we move away from our humble roots as purveyors of xeric plants and continue to explore the depths of our ecological interests in the from of landscape design (Geoponika) and non-profit arts & education (Nonhuman Teachers) we invite those lucky bi-coastal elites among you to join us in bidding farewell to our beloved NYC home with one final plant offering soiree AND/OR visit our Wonka-esque Los Angeles workshop as we open the studio doors for a weekend parking lot blowout.
