When Christoph Henkel first found Dunton in 1994, it was a ghost town, and had been since the 1920s. Legend has it that Butch Cassidy holed up here after robbing the bank in nearby Telluride.
Today it is a hotel of thirteen cabins, and from the moment you arrive time slows down. You are deep in nature and the outside world simply stops reaching you (don’t we all need that right now?).
