It’s been a while since I wrote an original on the piano, and I’m lucky to have had a house-sitting gig in a home with a nice keyboard so I made the most of my time.
Enjoy :)
Lyrics
Said I wouldn’t write love songs anymore I was taking my time, minding my energy You rolled right in, no warning Said I wouldn’t write love songs
It’s all been done before, it’s all been done before
But it didn’t feel right, though I’ve tried and tried
I can’t deny the kind of things that make me want to sing
after a storm had come through, kicking up everything
I was finally picking up parts of me, putting them together where they should be
the skies were mostly blue, until you
For a second I was scared that it would start pouring again
but you’re the kind of sun shower
I wish would stick around
but I’m no stranger to being wrong…
Sometimes a simple thing that starts with you
makes me question what I thought I knew…
Don’t you see that, everything is connected
every person a reflection
and you’re part of it all, we’re part of it all…
