Legend claims the god Vulcanus forged the blade Retributor on the island of Hiera, at the request of his half-sister Pallas, to make unceasing war against the forces of Chaos, until the world at last knows peace.
Pallas gave the sword to Actaeos, who became the first emperor of Actia, from which he took his name upon ascending to the throne. The weapon was wielded by many subsequent emperors, but was lost when the empire collapsed.
Retributor is an intelligent sword +1, casts light on command (30’ radius).
