*buzzing: CONVERSE ’KEEP MAKING’

Converse has had a strong year with Tyler, the Creator, several collabs, and now a super sweet brand campaign. They reimagined the star logo by following a busy, star-headed girl navigating London (I think?) in perfect Converse outfits. Styled by Daliah Spiegel and shot by Lois Cohen, it’s wholesome, fun, and just so beautiful to watch — love everything about it.

*buzzing: KIM KARDASHIAN IN FORTNITE

Kim Kardashian is live in Fortnite – and honestly, this might be the best celeb collab since Travis Scott’s pandemic-era live events. Yes, she’s arriving as a skin, but the real fun is in the emotes: iconic KUWTK moments turned into playable pop-culture, from losing her diamond earring in Bora Bora to the purse fight with Khloé and the legendary Paper Magazine champagne moment. Pure KUWTK lore, perfectly gamified – and ngl, this might pull me back into Fortnite this weekend.

*buzzing: THE RETURN OF THE GRINCH

The Grinch is back, just in time for Christmas. And honestly, I’ve never related to him more than this year 🫠

This season, Dr. Seuss Enterprises handed their TikTok account to their biggest star and built a full-on Grinch campaign that was genuinely fun to watch and smartly monetized. From McDonald’s to Crocs (and yes… American Eagle…), the Grinch popped up everywhere.

They built a proper set, cast a Grinch, and produced a whole stream of content that was ultimately co-funded through brand partnerships. Entertaining, on-brand, and clever – definitely one to take notes from.

Especially for McDonald’s, this worked perfectly with their existing collab playbook: the one they already rolled out for their own fictional characters like Grimace. They dropped a special-edition menu item (dill-pickle–seasoned Shaker Fries) and even added socks you get with each menu – silly, collectible, and exactly the kind of chaos McDonald’s does best.

*buzzing: A2 4 ANNOUNCE ’THE DRAMA’

A24 is setting a whole new standard for movie marketing by using actual method acting as promotion, fully blending lore and real life. After Marty Supreme, they just did it AGAIN with ’The Drama’.

The Zendaya–Robert Pattinson film was announced via the engagements section of the Boston Globe. No trailer, no teaser. Just pure narrative world-building.

How cool is that? 😭

*buzzing: DENIM TEARS ARE FINALLY MAKING DENIM

Denim Tears has officially pulled off the impossible: building a globally relevant brand without ever really making denim – apart from their Levi’s collabs. It was all tees, hoodies, outerwear, even leather jackets. No denim. Ever.

That just changed. With the launch of their new independent label DENIM TEARS DENIM, they finally dropped matching denim jackets and jeans, stamped with the iconic Cotton Wreath motif.

And of course, they didn’t just drop the pieces… To announce DENIM BY DENIM TEARS, they plastered NYC, London, and LA with posters made from actual denim, paired with soft, lo-fi footage. Simple, poetic & on brand.

Now I’m low-key wondering: what else could you plaster with denim? 🤔
