The first celebrity death that truly shocked me was Robin Williams. I remember coming home from sleepaway camp and seeing it plastered across magazine stands. Learning that a man known for bringing joy to others was suffering so immensely was such a gut-punch. I cannot help but view his films and interviews with a profound sadness now.
