Hello Book People,
Maybe because it is summer or maybe because we are still giddy from our last Buzz Books seasonal edition and author conversations, or maybe both, we find ourselves in the mood to share some of our favorite things. Enjoy!
Booktrovert Day
Last week, Booktrovert threw itself a one-year birthday party to celebrate the new service, which now has over 70,000 profiles, many campaign types, and even bookish games to increase consumer engagement with books. The day gave Booktrovert members the opportunity to share a day in their reading lives. Look at all those great posts!
Riverhead’s The Eddy
I know I’m not alone in my excitement at receiving my actual printed book newspaper, The Eddy with its fun cover article by Ron Charles about looking for his blurbs on books. (If you had a blurb on a book, you’d look for it, too, wouldn’t you?). It’s packed with so many fun things, including a book-word search and author match game! You know you need this.
Thank you, Sally Ekus
Something we really love is when someone from our book community commits a selfless act of service, as good-karma literary agent Sally Ekus helping me and brilliant author Melissa Collings when our Buzz Books Official Day Substack Live got disconnected—you can’t even tell in the video but it happened, I promise! Right, Melissa Collings?!
And finally, a new Buzz Books edition in the works…
We truly love seeing the nominations for our BB Romance edition roll in—can’t wait to share!
