blueberry bread

for my last blueberry recipe this year (i’ve done quite a few!) I slow roast a pan of fresh (but going soft) blueberries into a thick, delicious puree. That puree acts kind of like mashed bananas do in this bread: giving moisture, sweetness and sooo much flavor.

I saw someone share a fall recipe last week and refer to this as “augtober”. I found I just couldn’t get on board with this - no, not yet. Since having kids, I never want to rush through any season. I want to soak up every bit of what we have right here and right now whether it’s picking the ripest blackberries with my girls or their chubby cheeks perpetually smeared with watermelon juice. Savor every last bit, as these days are fleeting.
