Diary: Lunch Date With Janice

Saturday, August 8th

Dear Diary,

Headed over to Janice’s place this morning, figured we’d just hang out and see where the day took us. We ended up at Parisian Baguette for lunch, and yeah, our favorite waiter was working again. Naturally we were dressed accordingly, I wore one of my signature spaghetti strap tank tops, displaying weapons grade cleavage, and Janice wore a cute red off the shoulder crop top. He’s got that whole flirty thing going on, always making eye contact and smiling like he knows exactly what he’s doing. Janice and I were both playing along, leaning in a little more than necessary when we ordered, you know how it is.

We got talking about Lena while we waited for our food. Janice brought up inviting her next time, and honestly it makes sense. Thursday was her last day as an intern, which is kind of a bummer because she was fun to have around. But Janice pointed out the bright side – now that she’s not an intern anymore, she doesn’t have to worry about all those professional boundaries and ethics stuff. She can just be herself without holding back.

That got us both thinking. Janice was saying how things might get a little wild now that Lena’s free to do whatever. No more worrying about what’s appropriate or keeping things professional. Just the three of us being ourselves, and who knows what that could lead to. We were both kind of excited about the possibilities, especially since Lena seemed like she was already pretty adventurous during her time with us.

Spent the rest of the afternoon just chilling at Janice’s, talking about what we could do with Lena now that she’s officially done with the company. The conversation kept circling back to how different things might be without those restrictions hanging over everything.
