Bushwick Chess · Bushwick Chess

Good morning chess players, we’re back for another week of Bushwick Chess. The Summer Premiere Blitz at the start of the month tested our club players in the second of our Premiere series. At the June Rapid event, we saw 21 players rated 1574 NYCR play through a three round 15|10 across two sections. With the highlight monthly even in July featuring our second ever nine round 3|2 blitz, it meant fielding the whole club against itself in a combined tournament for the first time since our shift to two-section events. A respectable 28 players rated 1641 on average faced off.

Reminder! Tonight is the monthly Club Rapid Tournament at Nook! Join us 7pm for five rounds of 10|2 blitz Swiss, $20 with prizes for all skill levels. Monthly Club Rapid/Blitz will now split into Open and U1600 sections to encourage a healthy mix of casual and competitive play more regularly.
