The game board is no longer rearranging itself in the shadows.
It is being reset in plain sight, and the machine’s media protectorate is only now beginning to notice that the pieces they thought they owned have been rotated, reoriented and in some cases burned for fuel.
What I first mapped at the turn of the year as Sovereign Disentanglement was never a prediction of neat, sequential regime changes. It was a framework for recognizing the difference between the Great Reset—the globalist attempt to dissolve national sovereignty into a managed, interdependent, scarcity-driven collective—and the Good Reset: the deliberate, multipolar disentanglement of those same nations from the very architecture that kept them entangled.
The Good Reset does not require the destruction of states. It requires the inversion of their captured leadership nodes, the severing of their proxy functions and the reassertion of sovereign decision-making under the cover of the very chaos the enemy once used as its central permission structure.
That process is now accelerating across every major proxy simultaneously.
The Actuals and the Narratives are moving in parallel, and the machine is losing its monopoly on the translation layer between them.
So, I thought it might behoove us to take stock of said proxies—and more importantly, proxy theaters—as we head into the second half of the year.
I called the Venezuelan operation a fake regime change in real time because that is precisely what it was.
Not fake in the sense of theater without consequence, but rather inverted.
Maduro was extracted, and yet, his administrative continuity remained under Delcy Rodríguez because the cartels and the NGO-funded color revolution apparatus were the real targets of the purge.
Maria Corina Machado—Nobel laureate, darling of the democracy-promotion industrial complex and the designated capstone of the Western narrative—has been politely, but firmly kept at arm’s length by both the residual Maduro structure and the Trump administration.
The White House even advised her against returning … with some added color for good measure …
In this, the message could not be clearer: the Sovereign Alliance does not install the globalist’s preferred successor simply because the media demands the optics of a clean break.
Now, the United States is renormalizing relations with the very interim authorities that emerged from that extraction.
Diplomatic channels have been reopened, while the American humanitarian response is being used as both humanitarian cover and operational footprint, no matter what we think of the actuals.
Meanwhile the same regime the Western press still treats as illegitimate is cooperating on stability, energy and prisoner releases while the would-be queen of the color revolution remains in the narrative cold.
This is the hot-swap completed. The burn card was played.
The continuity of the Venezuelan state was preserved while its function as a globalist logistics and money-laundering node was severed, and the media protectorate arrived late to the realization and is still struggling to decide whether this counts as victory or betrayal.
The Iranian theater is the larger—and stranger—application of the same template.
From the opening moves of what the machine still insists on calling a war of choice, the pattern was identical to Venezuela and to the earlier Syrian disentanglement: surface escalation calibrated to force every faction to reveal its actual priorities, while the off-ramps were already being constructed out of public view.
Trump and the Iranian leadership—whatever form the post-Khamenei continuity takes—have placed the globalist architecture itself into a geopolitical game-theory pincer.
Energy leverage through the Strait of Hormuz is being systematically eroded by pipeline rewiring, Gulf infrastructure that bypasses the strait and the acceleration of American domestic production, a stance that is being rapidly mirrored abroad, from East Asia to Central Asia, and even to Europe, whose collectivist eyes are now being drawn upward, to the North Sea and its untapped reserves.
At the same time, the narrative of perpetual Middle Eastern entanglement is being stretched past the point of elastic recovery.
The fact that Trump continues to elongate the timeline—declaring the ceasefire “over,” conducting limited strikes, then returning to negotiations—is not emblematic of indecision, but stress-testing.
The longer the central narrative remains in controlled tension, the more the machine and its institutional protectors inside the Republican Party are forced to show whether they serve the Sovereign Alliance’s end state or the permanent war bureaucracy that requires Iranian hostility as oxygen.
To wit, watch the neoconservative and institutional GOP voices carefully in the coming weeks.
Their discomfort is the tell.
When the same people who spent years demanding regime change in Tehran begin to demand an exit that restores the old equilibrium, you are watching the pincer close on them as well.
The timeline itself is now the weapon.
The machine cannot sustain the story of existential Iranian threat while the Actuals move toward a managed multipolar energy settlement.
Something will break.
We need only wait to see which institutional narrative collapses first.
Admittedly, even though an analysis of this particular theater launched this publication, Ukraine has spent most of the year in the narrative backseat while Venezuela and Iran have absorbed all the oxygen in the geopolitical room.
That intermission is ending.
Zelenskyy’s latest purge—removing a reforming, popular defense minister who had made enemies inside the old procurement networks, among others—has finally drawn coordinated, bipartisan criticism from the same Western media and political class that once treated every Ukrainian cabinet shuffle as evidence of democratic vitality.
Street protests.
Growing calls against the commander-in-chief.
European and American so-called allies beginning to speak of Ukraine’s “crisis of its own making.”
This is the acceleration of the Ukrainian absolution.
Trump and Putin continue to circle the Prussian proxy from opposite directions.
NATO’s power-projection capacity has been revealed as theater across multiple simultaneous fronts—Iran, Ukraine and the looming Taiwan test.
The alliance that was sold as the indispensable shield is being ground into both kinetic and mass-psychological dust.
To wit, when even the media protectorate begins to acknowledge that the purges look more like internal consolidation than wartime necessity, the story of the pure, unbroken Ukrainian resistance is approaching its terminal phase.
The Sovereign Alliance does not need to conquer Ukraine. It needs only to allow the internal contradictions of the proxy to finish the work the war itself began.
Meanwhile, the domestic American left has produced its own clarifying moment.
The Democratic Socialists of America and the broader progressive bloc I have been writing about with some frequency in the returned Brief have turned decisively against Israel—the original and most durable true proxy of the post-1945 Western hegemon.
More than a hundred House Democrats voted to cut military aid, while primary challenges are rewarding candidates who treat unlimited support for the Jewish state as a liability rather than a sacred obligation.
This places the Uniparty in an untenable position.
They can either throw in with the Marxist brigade and accept the open antisemitism that has metastasized inside their activist base, or they can reveal their true neoconservative colors to an American electorate that is increasingly exhausted by the perpetual funding of foreign wars.
There is no third option that preserves both the old bipartisan consensus and the new progressive energy.
In other words, the proxy that once unified the managerial class is now the wedge that splits it.
The State Department’s sudden public disclosure of Cuba’s decades-long subversive campaign against the United States is, on its face, a long-overdue admission.
In the context of the Sovereign Disentanglement playbook, however, it is something more precise: an accelerant.
After all, Trump has already signaled that Cuba sits next on a sequence the media machine is still only haltingly admitting was planned well in advance.
By airing the historical record of Havana’s role in radicalization, espionage and the cultivation of domestic American grievance networks, the administration simultaneously prepares the information battlespace for the next disentanglement and forces the institutional intelligence community to confront the uncomfortable reality that much of the subversion they now attribute solely to Havana was enabled, tolerated or actively mirrored by elements inside the American security state itself, if it didn’t originate there.
The disclosure is both offensive and defensive.
It advances the playbook while attempting to steer the conversation away from the deeper question of who, precisely has been running the long war against the Republic from within.
And then there is Kash Patel’s announced trip to Moscow.
An FBI Director traveling to the capital of the nation the media protectorate still treats as the primary existential adversary is not a bureaucratic junket.
It is a sovereign signal.
The same media ecosystem that spent years constructing the Russiagate architecture now finds itself reporting, with visible discomfort that the man who helped dismantle that architecture is preparing to sit down with the FSB.
The machine is picking up the frequency even if it cannot yet decode the full transmission—that the Good Reset has been occurring beneath their noses and inside their own proxies for some time.
The coordination is no longer deniable.
And yet, the ultimate proof that these proxy resets—kinetic, political and cultural—are serving the multipolar end state of the Sovereign Alliance will not be found in the volume of Western commentary.
It will be found in the renewed and resurgent pattern of normalization that started with Venezuela and accelerated with Syria.
To wit, watch how quickly the post-reset nodes in these regions, as well as in Iran and eventually Cuba and others move to renormalize relations with the United States, Russia and China.
Watch equally carefully how little interest they show in restoring the old client relationship with the global collectorate and its Brussels-Washington-Davos axis.
In the end, as I have been arguing for years, power recognizes power.
The old hegemon is being taught that lesson in real time, one disentangled proxy at a time.
Mark them, and you may begin to mark the map to multipolarity, the core tenet of the emergent Global Golden Age.
