To summarize MY rant about the rant … well, here’s the SHORT version:
Readers may remember that I've been claiming Donald Trump's energy war is NOT being waged AGAINST Iran, but rather WITH Iran and against the American Energy Cartel the whole time.

The Iran War IV - Donald Trump's Energy War

This piece is the fourth in my ongoing analysis of the Iran War. It started with ‘Donald Trump and the Path of the Torpedo,’ and continued with ‘Trump’s Test’ and ‘The Iranian Knot.’ It is followed by ‘A Naked Empire of Paper Tigers.’
I also said Trump would pressure said American companies with both public rhetoric and the threat of a legal campaign in keeping with the exact model Vladimir Putin directed at the Russian Oligarchy in the late 1990s and early aughts—which we’ll revisit before the end of this Brief—and referenced Trump's January sit-down with the American Energy Cartel during the Venezuela Op as a 'Game of Thrones-style negotiation' rather than a meeting between allies when it happened.
These things are possible to see coming when you reframe Trump's war against the New Axis into the Sovereign Alliance versus the Western Globalist Hegemon, of which the American Oil Companies are part and parcel.
He's taking public stakes in private companies all over the game board, from Intel to MP Materials and doing so under the guise of national alignment, while pressuring OpenAI to follow suit.
I suspect these are the companies that have played nice.
The ones that have not will be brought to heel by hook or by crook.
And those are just the lead-off thoughts on what’s really going on here.
Now, as for the (Bright) Brief version …
Since the Iran War that is NOT a War, and yet that IS a war in the Fifth-Generation sense of the word kicked off in earnest earlier this year, I’ve written tens of thousands of words on the subject—most of which you incredible Info War savages have devoured.
Within that series, in addition to parsing what I believe to be Donald Trump’s multi-dimensional intentions when it comes to said War in accordance with the Sovereign Disentanglement template I laid out during the mirrored operation in Venezuela in January, I have also spent more time analyzing the Actuals—which is to say the mechanistic—than I am usually wont to do.
To wit, buried in my Iran War analysis was my suggestion that Trump IS waging war on a cartel, or perhaps a series of them, but that said cartels are not exactly what we’ve been led to believe, and that the picture of exactly which cartels Trump has been referencing would come clearer with the passage of time, and the spending of ammunition, both kinetic and financial, since the narrative counters to Trump’s war have been running on fumes as it is for months already.
So yes, while I covered the NATO Alliance as a menagerie of paper tigers representative of one such cartel Trump is dismantling—rather, that he is allowing to be dismantled through the Squeeze of Hormuz and all its ensuing geopolitical revelations—I also focused heavily on the Global Energy Cartel in that series … albeit not the one most people think of.
The Iran War V - A Naked Empire of Paper Tigers

Therein, I claimed that the Arabs already gave the game away by departing OPEC in the midst of Trump’s engineered Crisis, and argued that they did so with the blessing of and by the design of Trump’s Sovereign Alliance, of which they are a part.
Under this framing, the UAE’s exit was a signal, a public acknowledgment that the old scarcity architecture no longer served the interests of the sovereigns who actually sit atop the reserves.
Thus, when the most consequential Arab producers begin treating OPEC as optional rather than orthodoxy, the cartel that spent decades coordinating artificial scarcity starts to look less like a permanent feature of the global economy and more like a temporary arrangement whose utility has expired, or rather, a margin that has been called.
So then, which energy cartel remains active on the board, if the Global one already folded?
Well, the same one that was originally exposed back in January during Trump’s Operation Absolute Resolve in Venezuela, during which Trump hosted what I called a Game of Thrones-style luncheon with the American Oil Oligarchy, during which he admonished them over the blood and treasure they had been alternatively stealing and (ironically) refusing to deal from the Venezuelan people for years leading up to said operation.
As I said at the time …
Meanwhile, on the energy front proper, Trump is not operating blind.
His huddles with American industry executives are not the traditional backroom bartering of the old order, in my estimation, but more than likely Game of Thrones-style negotiations: power acknowledging power, terms being set in real time, mutual interests aligned against the common threat of total industry collapse, which were preceded by similar meetings and red dinners with tech magnates in 2025, with each set of so-called Elites representative of the American Oligarchy Trump is bringing to heel.
Put another way, Trump would never have stepped into this Kobayashi Maru without knowing, or at least being able to guide how the American Energy Giants would move when the board shifted.
And the board IS shifting.
The Iran War VIII - Collapse of the Global Cartel

This piece picks up and brings together the many threads laid out in my exhaustive analysis of the Iran War, which started with ‘Donald Trump and the Path of the Torpedo,’ and continued with ‘Trump’s Test,’ ‘The Iranian Knot,’ ‘Donald Trump’s Energy War
Suffice to say—and as I argued in real time—that Venezuela operation was never primarily about Maduro the man as it was about freeing South American economies from the grip of an oil cartel that has always used its connections within US intel and the broader Deep State apparatus to create, train and perpetuate the sort of drug and narco-terror cartels that have kept the South American markets gloriously (for them) destabilized.
Chaos, in other words WAS the business model of these model businesses that have only ever represented American interests in name only, and capitalism in the corporatist sense of the word, and as long as the region remained a perpetual failed-state laboratory, the American majors could maintain leverage over global pricing while the actual reserves that could have unleashed an age of abundance for the peoples of those lands stayed locked behind layers of corruption, sanctions theater and selective enforcement.
And if a nationalist leader ever chanced to rise from the ashes of this oligarchic plunder, he would simply be recast as a tyrannical strongman en route to suffering a narrative war of attrition through the full-scale weaponization of every Western-aligned Systemic NGO this side of the Atlantic, all paving the way for the sort of Actual Regime Change operation I believe Trump mimicked, but did not actualize in January, the first of a few cases currently playing out and still yet to be forwarded in 2026.
Or, as I put it way back in January …
I believe Trump executed a ‘fake’ Regime Change Op in order to intercept the real one Globalists have been planning for a decade, and attempting, in various stages.
By ‘taking out’ Nicolas Maduro (by extracting him, staging photo ops with him and basically getting mad about how Maduro does the Trump dance even better than Trump does the Trump dance, according to actual retarded media reports,) Trump has essentially siphoned the energy from the enemy’s color revolution and rug-pulled its final stage.
Keep in mind, Maduro’s administration still controls Venezuela, at Trump’s behest and on his authority.
This will not do for the National Endowment for Democracy or the ghost of USAID, both of which have donated millions to Machado’s campaigns en route to her winning a Nobel Peace Prize that was denied to President Trump, which is just about the cleanest reverse indicator you’re ever likely to get in the Info War.
By swapping Maduro out with his second-in-command, then, Trump is baiting the enemy into attempting to drum up support for a SECOND color revolution in as many weeks, because they didn’t get the one they wanted the first time around.
Russia is considering following the same playbook in Ukraine.
And China may in Taiwan, because Trump has granted them the Narrative Shielding to do so, while depriving the Globalists of that very thing by slamming the door shut on Machado’s legitimacy while shattering the carefully-cultivated illusion of her public mandate.
In other words, Trump (and yes, Maduro) steered Venezuela into the path of the torpedo before it could arm itself, which should be Q-coded music to the ears of most in this audience.
And very, very few in the so-called Truth Community have figured this out.
And yes, I believe this same pattern is playing out in the Middle East, where it’s not so much the Iranian Regime being squeezed out of the region, but rather the American energy cartel that used said Regime as a proxy to lord artificial scarcity over the world through the perpetuation of chokepoints that have always been more political than geological.
Hormuz was never merely a strait, under this framing, but a perpetual narrative engine—a scarcity multiplier and a permission structure married that allowed shadows in boardrooms to harvest crisis premiums while the rest of us paid the bill in both dollars and strategic dependency.
Finally, I argued earlier this summer that I believed Trump’s moves to semi-nationalize American manufacturers and strategic interests such as Intel and MP Materials have laid the groundwork for the ultimate nationalization play—that being over the American Oil Cartel—while acknowledging that said Cartel would not likely go quietly into that good night.
And so, they have not, instead opting to keep their Game of Chicken going just a little while longer, with the perceived Sword of Damocles that is the 2026 Midterm Election Cycle as their ultimate ace in the hole.
One Trump seems to care little about, as I discussed at length in yesterday’s Brief.
All of which is why I predicted from the outset that, at least where it concerned this particular cartel, Trump would be forced to wield the stick on said Cartel when the carrot came up wanting.
And, well, here we are.
To wit, and back to the present, Trump is issuing what sounds like a final series of public warnings on an industry that has spent the last six months engaged in a quiet game of chicken with the very administration that reopened Venezuela to them, restored their access and stabilized the broader energy board under the cover of the Iranian Knot.
All along the way, they have artificially prolonged the pain at the pump for American consumers—and MAGA supporters in particular—on both an Actual and a Mass Psychological level by clinging to elevated retail prices long after futures markets began to price in the eventual resolution of the Hormuz pressure cooker.
Meanwhile, record profits have continued to roll in, with Exxon and Chevron posting numbers that would make a 1970s oil sheikh blush. And when the President of the United States, a man who has spent decades as a self-described free-enterprise maximalist publicly names them and says they are “making too much money” off a shortage he himself helped engineer, his mask slips only insomuch as their has shattered, as discussed at length in a recent Brief.
And make no mistake, the bill is coming due.
Thus, the cartel has a choice to make, one between capitulation and humiliation, cooperation and domination.
And this is a choice that has been made—rather, that has been forced—before, in distant lands and under infamous leaders.
As I have been arguing for some time, Vladimir Putin’s long war on the Russian Oligarchy set the template for everything Trump is applying at home, even replete with the same sort of national-socialist accusations the Russian leader has fielded for the better part of a generation, and that the American leader is only just beginning to field now.
And in that particular Shadow War that spilled into the light in the early aughts, oligarchs like Oleg Deripaska and his cohort learned the hard way that proximity to power is not the same as ownership of it, as, when the State decides the oligarchs serve the nation rather than the reverse, the conversation changes, with loyalty and submission becoming the only currency that holds any worth in the new dialectic.
To wit, those who adapted kept their seats, while who mistook temporary permission for permanent entitlement found their assets quietly—or not so quietly—realigned.
Trump’s own brand of Putin’s oligarchic humiliation ritual might not be as blunt and direct—after all, Uncle Vlad is one of a kind—but make no mistake, Trump is running a parallel play on the American Oligarchy here at home, by first ending their game and their grift abroad.
Under this framework, Trump’s equity stakes in semiconductors and critical minerals companies were the proof of concept, with the public dressing-down of the oil oligarchs marking his latest escalation against the System of Systems, which has ever and always held its seats of power here at home, while keeping its plunder abroad.
Trump’s DOJ probe floated in June was a warning shot, with Trump’s public statements naming names, which is to say companies represent the formal notice, with Trump always leading the dance in the narrative before finishing it in the Realm of the Real.
As for that narrative? That message?
It’s simple enough that even a boardroom full of people who have spent careers speaking the language of quarterly guidance can understand it: the scarcity premium is no longer yours to harvest indefinitely, the American people are not a captive market for your crisis margins and the President who restored your access to Venezuelan crude is not interested in watching you turn that restored access into another extraction racket aimed at the same domestic base that put him back in office.
He who controls the levers of power—which is to say energy—controls the means of production. And he who controls the means of production controls the nation.
That much is true.
For almost two centuries, the Oil Cartel treated that truth as the engine of their private and privateering franchise.
They built the chokepoints, financed the instability that made those chokepoints valuable, propped up the Regimes Trump is tearing down and sold the resulting scarcity on the back of the ensuing chaos back to the public as a by-product that could only result from the imperfect, albeit earnest management of natural order of things.
And who could be helped if said managers scooped up record profits in solving the very problems they engineered along the way?
Isn’t that the American Way?
Or was it the Hegelian one?
And when have they not been the same?
Or, perhaps in their words, how lucky were we, to have such capitalistic custodians?
As I have been arguing since I launched this publication, power only speaks in its own terms.
Finally, we have an American President who not only speaks that language, but excels in it.
Donald Trump's Power Paradigm

It doesn’t take an expert to recognize that Donald Trump’s second term is already reshaping the contours of the global battlespace.
The Iran War that is not a War has already accomplished more in the Actuals than a decade of conventional kinetic campaigns could have dreamed.
It exposed the paper nature of the old alliances.
It forced the Arab producers to choose sides in public.
It created the political space for American energy independence to be reframed as national security rather than climate heresy.
And now, it has cornered the domestic cartel that thought it could ride the crisis it engineered out without ever having to answer to the people who paid for it.
The choice before them is not a complicated one, then. Not in my estimation.
They can accept that the age of managed scarcity is ending and align with the abundance trajectory already visible in the nuclear restart, the critical-minerals realignment, and the sovereign wealth architecture Trump has been assembling piece by piece.
Or they can continue to play the old game and discover, as certain Russian oligarchs discovered before them that the State still holds the higher ground when it decides the game it helped to construct has become the very problem it was ostensibly erected to correct, depending on who leads that State.
This is the weapons of the enemy refrain, and for now, Donald Trump is our Aragorn the enemy mistook for a Boromir.
(And if you understand that reference, then you shall pass gracefully into the Halls of Mandos when the time comes.)
The enemy knows that what I say is true.
They know that Trump has guessed the game, and is trying to break it.
The only remaining question is how many of the players will still be standing when the music stops.
