🛳 BG Shipping Log: 2025 in Review

Hey everyone - this one’s a special edition. First happy new year!

As we have wrapped up 2025 its time to look back at everything we built, shared, shipped, and learned this year. Massive thanks to everyone who supported us along the way!

We added 5 new challenges to SpeedRunEthereum:

• 🪙 Stablecoins

• 📈 Prediction Markets

• 🏦 Overcollateralized Lending

• 🕵️ Zero Knowledge

Each one designed to help devs go deeper, faster, and build more real-world dapps.

We launched our Capture The Flag (CTF) platform to explore lower-level smart contract mechanics like:

• Storage slots

• Gas optimization

• Re-entrancy

• Brute forcing and more

🚩 Season 2 just dropped with the Buenos Aires challenges. Checkout the video of the CTF in BA here.

We ran 11 batches in 2025 with:

• 👨‍🔧 151 participants

• 🎓 94 graduates

Builders collaborated, learned, and many became ecosystem contributors.

From Seoul to Nigeria, Turkey, Dubai to the U.S., Ethereum on Tour helped us bring dev workshops and talks to local communities and universities worldwide.

BuidlGuidl continued showing up at key events around the globe, to talk about tooling, onboarding, and learning.

In Argentina, we hosted a full week of focused workshops during Devconnect to help builders go from 0→1→mainnet.

We teamed up with Arbitrum to onboard and bring more developers to the Arbitrum ecosystem.

We talked with builders who actually found product-market fit onchain — founders, protocol architects, open-source contributors.

Scaffold-ETH 2 got even smarter with LLM integration, making it easier than ever to build, and ship dapps (the cool kids call it vibe coding now days).

BG client is a one-line terminal setup to run a local reth node — now with BGBRD token rewards for operators. We’ve got 16 nodes running worldwide.
