Today, I am not just bringing you a festival reminder. I am bringing you a story that can change the way you see your own life.
Tomorrow, 30th April 2026, the whole world celebrates the birthday of a divine form that did not appear when things were perfect. He appeared when things were at their absolute worst.
Narasimha Jayanti.
Half Lion. Half Man. Completely God.
“This newsletter is not just to be read, my dear.
It is to be felt.
Come, let us walk together toward that light which burns quietly inside every one of us.”
There was a demon king named Hiranyakashipu. He was proud, powerful, and believed he had become immortal.
He had received a boon from Lord Brahma:
No human could kill him.
No animal could kill him.
Not during the day.
Not at night.
Not inside a building.
Not outside.
Not on the ground.
Not in the sky.
Not with any weapon.
He thought he was completely safe.
So he went mad with power. He even tried to force his own little son, Prahlad, to stop worshipping Lord Vishnu. He tortured him. Gave him poison. Tried to crush him under elephants. Threw him into fire.
But Prahlad, that sweet, fearless child, never stopped chanting the Lord’s name.
Prahlad said,
“Father, God is everywhere.”Hiranyakashipu laughed and struck a stone pillar.
“Is He in this pillar too?”
And from that very pillar, at twilight neither day nor night on the doorstep neither inside nor outside Lord Narasimha appeared.
Half lion, half man.
He placed Hiranyakashipu on His lap neither on the ground nor sky and ended the evil.
Forever.
This is not just an ancient story. This is a cosmic promise that whenever truth is crushed, whenever an innocent heart is broken, the universe itself changes its form and arrives.
Beyond all rules.
Because some things are bigger than rules.
Narasimha Jayanti falls on Vaishakha Shukla Chaturdashi, which this year lands on 30th April 2026.
This is one of the most spiritually charged days of the Hindu calendar. The energy of this day is so powerful that prayers offered with a clean and sincere heart go straight to the divine.
No detours.
What makes this form of God so different?
Narasimha did not grow slowly. He did not plan. He burst out from stone, from darkness, from limitation, in an instant.
That is why this day celebrates the kind of strength that shows up when you have nothing left.
The strength that was always inside you, waiting.
ॐ उग्रं वीरं महाविष्णुं
ज्वलन्तं सर्वतोमुखम्।
नृसिंहं भीषणं भद्रं
मृत्यु-मृत्युं नमाम्यहम्॥
Ugram Veeram Maha Vishnum This mantra invokes Lord Narasimha’s fierce protective energy the power that removes fear, negativity, and inner darkness.
The destroyer of all fears
Chant it with faith when you need courage, protection, and strength to stand in your truth.
I am right here with you, holding your hand and walking you through every step.
These are not complicated rituals. Think of them as a heart-to-heart conversation with God.

Deeply powerful
Wake up before sunrise, take a bath, and as the water touches you, picture Lord Narasimha: half lion, half man, full of fierce love.
Tell yourself:
“Today, I am shedding what has been holding me back.”
This is the most powerful start you can give your day.
Observe a fast today, or at least skip one meal.
When the stomach is light, the mind becomes clear. Fruits, milk, and rock salt are allowed.
Use the energy you save from eating and put it into prayer instead.
Your body will thank you.
Your soul will soar.
Prahlad remembered God even while being tortured.
Today, bring your biggest pain to your quiet corner and simply chant the Narasimha Kavacham 3 times. It is easily available on YouTube.
Do not underestimate the protection you will feel. It is real and immediate.
Narasimha appeared at twilight, in the in-between moment when day became night.
At exactly dusk, light a ghee lamp.
Place black pepper, some flowers, and a pinch of turmeric before the Lord.
The evening aarti on this day carries a very special blessing.
Do not miss it.
Sit with your mala, your prayer beads.
Close your eyes.
Chant:
Om Namo Narasimhaya
108 times.
One bead for every worry.
One bead for every fear.
One bead for every old wound.
Each chant is like a small lion roar that drives out whatever is sitting heavily on your chest.
Let it go, bead by bead.
If you can, stay awake past midnight.
Listen to bhajans.
Write down everything you are grateful for.
And then, this is important: write down the things you want to release this year.
Place that paper near your lamp.
Narasimha knows what to do with it.
Trust Him.
Panchamrit
Milk, honey, ghee, curd, and sugar
A sweet offering for Lord Narasimha because beneath the fierceness, His love for His devotees is the gentlest thing in the universe.
Tulsi is dearest to Lord Vishnu. It represents purity of heart, and that is all God ever truly asks for.
Marigold or sunflower
The colour of the sun represents courage, power, and the victory that is already on its way to you.
Share these as prasad after your fast, because love shared in community is itself a form of worship.
This avatar is not just a part of history.
He lives inside you.
Here is how to find Him:
Prahlad is the innocent, trusting part inside you, the child who still believes in goodness, in God, in dreams.
The voices that say,
“What will people think?”
“This will never work for me.”
“I am not good enough.”
Those are your inner Hiranyakashipu.
Narasimha’s job is to silence them.
Starting today, protect that pure part of yourself fiercely.
Narasimha came at twilight.
Not a full day.
Not full night.
Life’s most transformative moments happen in the “in-between” places too.
When you have just lost a job.
When a relationship is unclear.
When the future feels foggy.
Do not fear those moments. God is most present there.
The in-between is not a waiting room.
It is a womb.
Hiranyakashipu’s boon had no loophole, but God simply became something entirely new.
When every path in your life seems blocked, that is your invitation to change your form entirely.
Cannot find work in your field?
Change the field.Relationship not working?
Change the approach.
God showed us that when the system says “impossible,” become something the system has never seen before.
Narasimha is fierce, but only against injustice, never for ego.
Setting boundaries in your life is a spiritual act, not a selfish one.
People who drain your peace, waste your precious time, or make you feel small saying a firm “no” to them is not rude.
It is you embodying the energy of Narasimha.
Protect your peace like it is sacred.
Because it is.
Prahlad did nothing dramatic.
He simply kept saying the Lord’s name.
He surrendered completely.
We often think we must fix everything ourselves: our careers, our relationships, our health, our families.
But Narasimha’s deepest message is this:
Some battles are won not by fighting harder, but by letting go more completely.
Try it.
Just once.
You will be surprised.
Who is the one that cannot be broken?
Let me speak to you directly, with all my love.
Everyone has a “Hiranyakashipu” in their life.
Sometimes it is another person.
Sometimes it is a situation.
And sometimes, honestly, it is our own mind being the biggest obstacle to our own happiness.
But this story of Narasimha says something powerful:
“I am even inside the pillar.”
Meaning, the very thing you think is your obstacle, your limitation, your wall God is hiding inside that too.
The office where you were humiliated?
That is exactly where your roar will one day echo.
And that pillar Hiranyakashipu struck in arrogance?
It turned out to be the entire universe.
So the next time someone tries to break you, remember what came out.
A lion.
Live like that lion.
With grace.
With love.
With fire.

It is a reminder that you are never truly alone.
Whatever difficulty you are in, whatever darkness surrounds you, whatever your personal “Hiranyakashipu” is right now, it has made one very big mistake.
It forgot about your God.
