For this week’s Movie Monday, the random letter R led me to the 1977 thriller Rolling Thunder.

While it may not be as widely discussed as other films from the era, Rolling Thunder has earned a loyal following thanks to its uncompromising storytelling, outstanding performances by William Devane and Tommy Lee Jones, and its lasting influence on the revenge thriller genre. It’s a powerful reminder of why so many 1970s films continue to resonate with audiences decades later.
