Epstein Files, Cesar Chavez, QAnon, and Sexual Assault

Cesar Chavez has recently been credibly accused of grooming and sexually assaulting minors. People are shocked by this. Relatedly, lots of QAnon folks feel vindicated by what has come to light in the Epstein files.

Frankly, I don’t find any of this even the slightest bit surprising—but not because I’m pessimistic about human nature, have any special insights, or anything similar. Instead, it’s just simple probabilistic reasoning.

We have always known that a tiny—but not vanishingly tiny—percentage of the population is sexually attracted to kids. Whether it’s 5% or 0.5% doesn’t matter for this calculation. Suppose it’s 1%. Well, there are hundreds of prominent, powerful politicians. So, obviously, some of them are going to be sexually attracted to kids. Further, since they are powerful people, they will have the means to actually succeed in preying on kids, more so than people who have no power, either political or financial. So, it’s pretty much inevitable that some prominent, powerful politicians have sexually assaulted kids.

This has nothing in particular to do with politicians. Take baseball players. There are roughly 1500 individuals who got playing time in the Major Leagues in 2025. So, given the amount of money and other power they have, surely a bunch of them have, at some time in their lives, sexually assaulted kids. Maybe there were no such cases in 2025. But the odds are quite high that at some point in their lives, it’s happened.

Or take people with an IQ over 150. Only about 1 in every 2000 people meet that standard. There are about 260 million adults in the USA now. So, there are more than 100,000 adults in the USA with IQs over 150. Just going by the odds, surely a bunch of them have sexually assaulted kids—even this year.

Or celebrities. There are hundreds of well known celebrities. So, given the numbers, and their power, of course some of them have sexually assaulted kids. This is not the result of great insight or research.

Clearly, some groups are going to be more prone than others towards sexually assaulting kids. The Catholic church, folks. It depends where the group’s members are located too. Due to major differences in social norms, laws, and law enforcement patterns, it will be easier to get away with it in come countries/cities compared to others.

So, when QAnon people say “See! I told you!”, my response is twofold. First, we already knew that some powerful politicians have sexually assaulted kids. No conspiracy theory was ever needed. Second, your claim that they also worship Satan, kill children, drink their blood, and have the surnames “Clinton” or “Obama” or “Hanks” or “Winfrey” is still unjustified.
