Hello, my name is Bruno.
I am a student, a computer scientist, and a hobbyist photographer. I've had many passions in life, but photography somehow always stuck with me, to the point that I think about it for most of my waking hours.
Why this?
For the longest time, I've been looking for ways to improve my writing, but couldn't quite find the exact format or venue to pursue this effort in. However, as a big fan of podcasts, I've recently run into Jeffery Saddoris' .
They are his thoughts and musings on various parts of life as a creative professional. He describes them as "observations and reflections, mostly around visual arts and my own creativity", but to me, they really feel like conversations with himself. I found them interesting because I often meditate about seemingly unrelated things that people said to me, and tend to develop them into miniature conversations of my own. For a long time, I couldn't find the right way of getting them out from my head to the world, but I think the Iterations would be a great template to start from. It is also a great way to put the pen onto the proverbial paper.
And since the idea started with a meditation, it seemed like this would be an appropriate name.
What is this?
Quite simply, 1 to 5 minutes read for you to think about photography, and for me to practice my writing. It is guided by two ideas:
Substance over style
Getting it done over getting it perfect
In order not to waste time for either of us, there will be four simple rules:
One every 2 weeks, written on Saturday, published on Sunday
20 minutes to write: fountain pen and paper frist draft
30 minutes edit: publish the second draft
Max 5 minutes to read
Who is this for?
Whomever wants something non-spammy to think about every so often. I am always on a lookout for people to talk about photography. And maybe, just maybe, YOU will find something in the blabber I post over here.
Thank you!
